| Many rice fields in Tan Thanh 3 village cannot be plowed due to a lack of water. |
According to Mr. Mai Dinh Giai, Head of Tan Thanh 3 village, the Na Om irrigation canal, approximately 1,200 meters long, was solidly constructed to provide irrigation for 28 households with over 20 hectares of agricultural land, including about 15 hectares of rice paddies and 5 hectares of aquaculture farms. Since around July 2025, during the construction of the road serving the Na Om irrigation dam, soil and rocks have spilled into the canal. Currently, about 800 meters of the canal are buried under a large amount of soil and rocks, obstructing the flow and affecting the water supply to the villagers' production areas.
Mr. Phung Van Nham, from Tan Thanh 3 village, said that his family has over 4,000 square meters of rice paddies and 1,200 square meters of fish ponds, using water from the Na Om irrigation canal. Due to insufficient water supply, the family's rice yield has decreased significantly in the past two seasons. Currently, the family is preparing for the new season, but if there is no water in the coming time, it will be very difficult to plant according to the seasonal schedule.
