Many studies have shown that painting is one of the effective methods of support for autistic children, helping them to release their emotions, develop their ability to express themselves and integrate into society. According to young female artist Ngo Ha Anh, the organizer of the painting exhibition "When the sun comes by", through the strokes, colors and shapes shown in the paintings, autistic children can express their inner world in a truthful way and it can be said that their paintings are the bridge connecting the community with silent souls.

36 paintings by autistic children with many bright colors have turned the space of the "When the sun comes by" exhibition into a close, meaningful and energetic one. The paintings may be just a few simple lines, but they are a work of art that carries the weight of patience and contains the world of the children with countless vivid expressions and rich colors.
For autistic children, language and speech seem quite strange and difficult, but when placed in a painting environment, holding a brush and painting colors on paper, they can express what they feel.

In addition to displaying paintings, the Exhibition also organizes fundraising through souvenir products such as postcards and shirts to support autistic children. This is the way the organizing group directly participates in the journey with the children with the criteria "Each item brought back not only has artistic meaning, but also represents a small ray of sunshine sent to the children".

Artist Ngo Ha Anh started creating in 2020 and for over three years, she has researched and studied with the support of experts, combining psychological and artistic research to apply to teaching painting to autistic children, helping them use brushes and colors to replace language and express their inner world.

Ngo Ha Anh's drawing class does not follow the traditional model but has become a space for each child to express themselves, find joy, concentration and the feeling of being heard. Ngo Ha Anh shared: "For autistic children, language or speech seems quite strange and difficult, but when they are put in a painting environment, holding a brush and painting on paper, they can express what they feel."

Organizing the exhibition “When the sun comes by”, Ngo Ha Anh hopes to create a space for the community to come into contact with the emotional inner world of autistic children and through the paintings, they can feel the sincerity and desire to share. Even the name of the exhibition is symbolic, evoking the image of light creeping in, silently and strongly illuminating the silent pieces in society, and at the same time, it is an opportunity for the community to take a moment to listen, sympathize, and understand that behind each child is a story worth cherishing.
