"This is a very good step forward for the Vietnamese team. Naturalizing players is a process, not something that can be achieved immediately," Aguzz Triantara, an account from Indonesia, expressed on the Asean Football page about the information that VFF and coach Kim Sang Sik requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to officially send a request to the Ministry of Justice to naturalize two Brazilian foreign players, Geovane Magno and Janclesio.

Geovane Magno is a player born in 1994, playing in the attacking midfielder position, with a height of 1m88, while Janclesio was born in 1993, playing in the defender position and has an outstanding height of up to 1m96. Both are currently playing for Ninh Binh Club.
Notably, both Brazilian players have played in the V-League since 2019 and are now eligible to reside in Vietnam to complete the naturalization procedure to become Vietnamese citizens.
The news that the Brazilian star duo is about to become Vietnamese citizens has received great attention from many fans in Southeast Asia, as many people admit that the upcoming Vietnamese team will be much stronger than before.
"Striker Xuan Son alone has made Southeast Asian countries worried. Now with two more foreign players from Brazil joining the squad, the Vietnamese team is like a tiger with wings," said Euanflow from Singapore.
"Now Vietnam can play with a team with many players of Brazilian origin. In a year, the Vietnamese team will beat Indonesia 5-0," said Cori Thians, an Indonesian account, worriedly.
"The important thing is that their naturalization records are very public, clear, and in accordance with FIFA regulations. Whatever it is, as long as it goes through a legal process, no one can complain about the VFF's steps. I support Vietnam's way of doing things," Rull from the Philippines emphasized.
"Just do it, Vietnamese football. The profiles are complete, public, and these players have all played in the V-League for more than 6 years. Honesty is everything. Good luck to Vietnamese football," shared Phairat Hanmuangjai from Thailand.
"Naturalizing players is to compete in the Asian Cup and World Cup, because our domestic players cannot compete with teams from Korea, Iran or Japan. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam is still number one in using domestic players," Mie Levee asserted.
"It must be admitted that Vietnamese and Thai football are both using their domestic players very well. Now it is reasonable for Vietnam to selectively naturalize to compete with strong teams outside Southeast Asia such as Korea and Japan. I really admire the transparent and public way of doing football of VFF", Hoang Ninh from Vietnam concluded.
