Timely rescue of 5-month-old baby from flood to emergency room at night

At around 11pm on November 21, the forces of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Bao Lam coordinated with relevant units to promptly take a 5-month-old baby with a cough and high fever out of the isolated floodwater area for emergency treatment.

The forces took the child and his parents onto a special canoe.

Because Dong Nai 4 and Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Plants are releasing large amounts of water, the water level in Cat Tien 2 Commune is rising rapidly, causing local flooding and isolating many areas, especially 3 villages of the commune. Including village 3, where the child's family lives.

Upon receiving reports from local residents about the emergency, the forces of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Bao Lam coordinated with the militia of the Military Command of Cat Tien 2 Commune and officers and soldiers of the Transport Brigade 657 (Logistics - Technical Department of Military Region 7). The forces quickly used canoes and specialized vehicles to approach the deeply flooded area, bringing the child and his parents out of the isolated area.

Take the child's family out of the isolated area to receive medical care

As soon as they reached a safe area, the local health department coordinated with the commune authorities to help take the child to the hospital for timely examination and treatment.

Currently, the baby's health is stable.
