Having been involved in education for many years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diu, a lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics Department at Lao Cai College, has always pondered and worried about innovating teaching methods and improving teaching effectiveness, contributing to the training of skilled human resources to serve the industrialization and modernization of the country and the province. Driven by this, in 2023, she began researching and implementing the initiative "Model for practical monitoring and control of motors using PLC combined with HMI". After a period of development and testing, the model was officially completed.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diu, M.A., enthusiastically shared about her cherished model: The essence of this initiative is to create a multi-functional practical training model using detachable modular blocks that can be disassembled as needed, accommodating a diverse range of knowledge and offering flexibility in operation. The model allows teachers to easily observe and check students' practical work; it is also safe to use, less prone to damage, facilitates knowledge transfer by instructors, and helps learners quickly absorb information. From an economic perspective, thanks to the integration of many other models, the model contributes to saving 40-50 million VND in costs. The model won third prize at the 2023 Provincial Science and Technology Competition.

It is known that previously, in 2022, Ms. Dịu won the Encouragement Prize at the National Self-Made Training Equipment Competition organized by the General Department of Vocational Education. In recognition of her efforts, in 2023, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Dịu was honored with the Creative Labor Award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Working in the field of education and training requires us to constantly update and innovate our methods and approaches, and to promote the application of Industry 4.0 technology in teaching. The "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement has opened up opportunities for me to challenge myself and further fuel my passion in exploring and researching topics with high effectiveness and applicability, helping students become more interested in learning.
For Dr. Vu Hong Giang, who works in the Department of Trauma Surgery at the Provincial General Hospital, receiving the Creative Labor Award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is an honor and further motivates him to strive harder in his work.

He is known as the author of the VAC negative pressure wound healing method – a system that promotes wound healing, operating on the principle of applying negative pressure to the wound, improving the environment for the patient's wound healing process. This method has the advantages of being technically simple, easy to implement, requiring no additional equipment, and especially shortening treatment time and saving costs for patients; it can be widely applied in hospitals equipped with central suction gates and conventional suction machines.

Over the years, the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement, focusing on promoting initiatives and technical improvements in the work and production activities of agencies and units, has spread widely, attracting workers, civil servants, and employees in the province to participate. The movement has ignited a passion for research and innovation among trade union members and workers in many fields, with useful initiatives and solutions closely linked to practical work and production, bringing tangible results to agencies, units, and businesses, and contributing to the overall development of the province.
During the period 2020-2025, 271 projects and initiatives were recognized at the provincial level; over 17,200 projects and initiatives implemented effectively from the grassroots level were applied in practice, with a total value of benefits exceeding 51 billion VND.
Recognizing the efforts of collectives and individuals in implementing the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement, over the past five years, 36 individuals have been awarded the Creative Worker Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; in 2024 alone, 11 individuals from Lao Cai province were honored.

Lao Cai is entering a new phase of development, requiring every official and worker to further promote the spirit of innovation, creativity, and daring to think and act. This diligence, enthusiasm, and dynamism are crucial prerequisites for creating momentum in all areas of the locality. Therefore, all levels and sectors should continue to spread the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement, inspiring and fueling the passion of each collective and individual for the rapid and sustainable development of Lao Cai in this new phase.
