Unleash your passion for creativity in internationally accredited STEM education classrooms.
From a young age, Nguyen Quang Minh, a student in class 10A9 at Cam Duong High School, showed a passion for scientific research. Therefore, Technology and STEM lessons always held a special appeal for him.
Quang Minh shared: "STEM activities have always fascinated me. I just won first prize in the STEM competition organized by the school. When I learned that the school is investing in building a new STEM classroom, I was very excited because it will give me and my classmates better opportunities to learn and practice."

Currently, the STEM Education Practice Room at Cam Duong High School is in the installation and completion phase. According to the design, the classroom will be equipped with a complete set of practical tools, programmable robots, sensor equipment, a computer system, and digital learning models. This will allow students to carry out research projects, simulate experiments, program automatically, and gradually approach artificial intelligence applications in their studies. STEM lessons will therefore become more lively and visually engaging, helping students develop creative thinking and the ability to apply knowledge to practice.
All the teachers and students of Cam Duong High School are eagerly awaiting the completion and commissioning of the project.

Ms. Pham Thi Hong Lan, Principal of Cam Duong High School, said that despite receiving investment and attention, STEM teaching and learning activities at the school still face many difficulties due to a lack of equipment and limitations in knowledge delivery methods.
"Investing in a STEM education practice room is very practical and meaningful for both teachers and students at the school. In the context of education demanding innovation, this is an opportunity for students to gain early access to modern science and technology, meeting the requirements of future human resources," Ms. Lan emphasized.
Not only at Cam Duong High School, but Nguyen Hue High School (Yen Bai ward) has also recently been equipped with an internationally standardized STEM education practice room thanks to the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation program.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, STEM education has been implemented by the school for many years through specialized workshops and STEM festivals with the participation of many universities, agencies, and businesses. However, the appearance of the modern STEM Education Practice Room has created a fresh and exciting learning atmosphere for both teachers and students.

The classrooms are equipped with advanced equipment, allowing for flexible transitions between theoretical and practical teaching. Students are directly involved in the process of building models, programming, experimenting, and creating STEM products, thereby enhancing their initiative, critical thinking skills, and learning quality.
After more than a month of construction, by mid-December 2025, the classroom's components met the schedule, technical requirements, and quality standards. Even at 10 PM before the inauguration, many teachers and students were still directly experiencing and familiarizing themselves with the equipment in the classroom, as everyone was excited about this special project.

Hoang Tuan Vu, an 11th-grade student at Nguyen Hue High School, shared: "The STEM applications in the classroom, with their English interface, help me and my classmates strengthen our vocabulary and learn how to use terminology in science and engineering subjects. We are very grateful to Petrovietnam for investing in this classroom, giving us more opportunities to learn and practice."
Petrovietnam partners with and enhances the quality of education in Lao Cai province.
The Petrovietnam STEM Innovation Program, initiated by General Secretary To Lam, officially launched on September 21, 2025, with the goal of completing and putting into operation 100 STEM education practice rooms within 100 days in 34 provinces and cities nationwide. Lao Cai province alone has three educational institutions selected for this phase: Nguyen Hue High School, Cam Duong High School, and Muong Khuong Junior High School. Each classroom has a total investment of 3.5 billion VND.
Mr. Tran Quang Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group, stated: STEM classrooms are equipped with uniform facilities, ensuring that students in all regions have the opportunity to access STEM education. This provides a foundation for schools to effectively implement the principle of learning by doing and connecting learning with practical experience.

At the inauguration ceremony of the STEM Education Practice Room at Nguyen Hue High School, Petrovietnam continued to affirm its social responsibility by donating 13.5 billion VND to Lao Cai province to build STEM rooms and upgrade educational facilities in the area. The funding prioritized essential items such as renovating and repairing classrooms affected by natural disasters, and improving safe and spacious learning conditions for students. This is not only timely material support but also demonstrates Petrovietnam's long-term approach to investing in "knowledge infrastructure," contributing to narrowing the gap in educational conditions between regions and creating a foundation for improving the quality of human resource training.
Through this program, Petrovietnam hopes to work with the local community to spread the spirit of learning, inspire the aspirations of the younger generation, and make a practical contribution to the sustainable development goals of Lao Cai.

Welcoming Petrovietnam's partnership, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, expressed his hope that the enterprise would continue to be involved in and support the locality in its construction and development. The Chairman of the People's Committee affirmed that Lao Cai province will direct the education sector and schools to effectively utilize the STEM education practice rooms; and at the same time, continue to replicate effective educational models, contributing to improving the overall quality of education and meeting the development requirements of the new era.

Attending the inauguration ceremony of the STEM Education Practice Room at Nguyen Hue High School on December 17th, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra highly appreciated Petrovietnam's initiative and practical support in allocating significant resources to build STEM classrooms in 34 provinces and cities, including three schools in Lao Cai province. This is clear evidence of the social responsibility and long-term vision of a key state-owned economic group towards the cause of education and training.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that STEM rooms are not only modern learning spaces but also contribute to innovating teaching and learning methods towards "learning by doing," promoting science, creative knowledge, and the aspiration to contribute of the younger generation in the new era.
