The art program "Sacred Origins - The Ancestral Land of Hung Kings".
The spectacular cultural "feast" began with the art program "Sacred Origins - The Ancestral Land of Hung Kings". The program featured many renowned artists such as People's Artist Trong Binh, People's Artist Thuy Ngan, Meritorious Artist Thi Nhung, along with artisans, artists, and actors from the original Xoan folk singing troupes, Lac Hong Theater, Hanoi Dance Troupe, and students from several primary and secondary schools in the province.
With a structure divided into three chapters: Sacred Origins, Returning to the Heritage Region, and Phu Tho Rising with the Nation, the program harmoniously combines tradition and modernity, vividly recreating the legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co creating the Dragon and Fairy lineage. This is not only a highlight of the opening ceremony but also contributes to promoting the cultural values of the Hung King era, linked to the development of tourism in the ancestral land.

At the cultural camps, there are cultural exchange programs featuring unique performances by amateur "performers" for tourists.
At the Hung Temple historical site, the cultural festival space offers visitors intimate and culturally rich experiences. The sounds of gongs, drums, songs, and dances from folk art troupes from various communes and wards create a vibrant and authentic folk atmosphere. Each performance showcases the unique cultural colors of the Muong, Dao, and Mong ethnic groups, enriching the festival's appearance. Many amateur artists and performers, participating for the first time at the Hung Temple Festival, left a beautiful impression on visitors.
Waking up early after a journey of over 100km, Ms. Dinh Thi Tham (Cao Duong commune) and the members of the club enthusiastically presented unique cultural performances: “This is the first time I’ve participated in performing at the Hung Temple Festival, so I’m very happy and also a little nervous. After each performance, receiving encouraging applause from the audience made me feel more confident. Hopefully, our small contribution will help create a joyful atmosphere and welcome visitors from all over during the Hung Temple Commemoration Day.”
A highlight of this year's festival is the restoration and enhancement of the Street Folk Culture Festival. With the theme "Sounds of the Roots," 18 parade groups (each with 50-100 amateur performers) started from the intersection of Nguyen Tat Thanh and Hai Ba Trung streets (Thanh Mieu ward) to Van Lang Park, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.
The highlight of the program is the reenactment of the Hung Temple Festival with solemn processions, blended with the smooth and profound melodies of ancient Xoan singing. Alongside this is the convergence of many typical traditional festivals such as: Tay Thien, Dinh Khenh, the Khai Ha Festival of the Muong people, Xen Muong of the Thai people, Gau Tao of the Mong people, Cap Sac of the Dao people... along with unique folk performances such as the flower procession, ball throwing, stick snatching, Trong Quan singing, Muong gongs... creating a joyful and lively atmosphere.

The Xoan singing program of the ancient village takes place at Hung Lo communal house, Van Phu ward.
Alongside the performances, exhibitions and displays were also organized at various locations such as the Hung Vuong Museum, the Provincial Library, and the Hung Vuong Temple Festival Center, showcasing documents, images, and artifacts about the Hung Vuong era and the cultural heritage of the ancestral land.
Xoan singing, Phu Tho folk songs, and folk art performances take place at the Water Pavilion on Khuon Muoi Lake, the Guest Reception House, and many outdoor stages, serving a large number of tourists.
In addition, traditional cultural activities at communal houses and temples such as An Thai, Thet, Mieu Lai Len, Kim Dai, Hung Lo... continue to contribute to recreating the characteristic religious living space of the Hung King era, highlighting the cultural depth of the ancestral land.
With systematic investment and rich content, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in 2026 will not only be an occasion to pay tribute to the merits of our ancestors but also a journey to experience a colorful cultural space, contributing to promoting the image of Phu Tho, the ancestral land, rich in tradition, friendly, and with great potential for tourism development.
