No sales expected

Early this morning, Apple launched a series of new products, such as the new generation Macbook Air using a 15-inch screen, the new generation Mac Studio. In particular, the "apple house" also officially launched the Apple Vision Pro virtual reality glasses.

Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of the CellphoneS store chain, said: The most anticipated product of the "apple house" is the new generation Macbook Air model, using the Apple M2 chipset and for the first time equipped with a large screen up to 15.3 inches.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is the first MacBook Air in history to feature a large-sized screen, after Apple launched the 11-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Air in the past.

Mr. Huy analyzed: Thanks to being equipped with the M2 chipset, the new generation Macbook Air has similar performance to the previous Macbook Pro M2 line. In addition, thanks to the larger screen, it will support well for ordinary customers who are not too specialized in graphics.

“For the average user, the Macbook Pro 16 is quite heavy and has excess performance. Therefore, the Macbook Air 15 model is suitable for this customer segment,” said Mr. Huy.

According to Apple's announcement, this Macbook Air model costs 1,299 USD. In Vietnam, retailers predict that the Macbook Air 15 model will cost the same as the Macbook Pro 13 M2 at launch and 1.5 million VND higher than the current price. The price is around 32.99 million VND/unit.

The second product launched early this morning is the Mac Studio. According to Apple's announcement, this year's Mac Studio model retains the same price as the previous generation, around 1,999 USD and in Vietnam it could be 54.99 million VND.

The only upgrade to the Mac Studio model is the M2 chipset, increasing the number of GPUs/CPUs and supporting up to 192GB of RAM compared to 124GB in the previous generation.

"The product is expected to be well received by customers because M1 studio has previously had a steady sales rate in Vietnam," said Mr. Huy.

The biggest surprise at the product launch this morning was the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality glasses. Apple's AR glasses help your real world blend with the virtual world, according to Apple, a completely new way for people to interact with each other and the world of digital content.

However, this Apple product is not cheap. The Apple company announced the price of Apple Vision Pro at up to 3,499 USD. Some retailers in Vietnam also plan to sell this product for up to nearly 90 million VND. With such a high price, retailers do not expect too much from the sales of Apple Vision Pro.
