Boosting tourism to festival regions.

As one of the country's major festivals, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival is held annually, attracting millions of people and tourists from all over to the ancestral land. To contribute to promoting and stimulating local tourism during the festival, the Phu Tho Tourism Association has actively coordinated with the provincial tourism industry and travel agencies to implement various solutions to introduce and promote the province's high-quality tourism products and services to visitors from near and far.

The Provincial Tourism Association, in collaboration with domestic travel companies, is developing a "Back to the Roots" tour that visits the Hung Temple Historical Site and combines it with an experience of Xoan singing in ancient villages.

The Hung Kings Commemoration Day – a significant cultural and historical event – ​​attracts Vietnamese people, overseas Vietnamese, and international tourists to visit and pay respects in Phu Tho. This year, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Phu Tho Cultural and Tourism Week will take place from March 29th to April 7th (corresponding to the 1st to 10th day of the third lunar month) with approximately 30 attractive cultural and sporting events and activities. The holiday coincides with a weekend, and the weather is cool and pleasant... This presents a golden opportunity to promote and attract tourists from all over the country and internationally to Phu Tho.

With the desire to make Phu Tho a unique and attractive destination with high-quality tourism products and services on the occasion of Hung Vuong Ancestor Commemoration Day, from the beginning of February (lunar calendar), the Provincial Tourism Association has actively improved the quality of tourism products and services, coordinated the organization of many promotional activities, focused on building new tour programs, emphasized the development of intra-provincial tourism products, exploited community-based ecotourism products, and linked historical and cultural tourist destinations to increase the attractiveness of Phu Tho tourism.

Domestic travel agencies participated in a seminar to develop a tour package to Hung Temple - Thanh Son for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Hung Kings' Cultural and Tourism Week in 2025.

Accordingly, the Association has coordinated with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize Famtrip and Presstrip programs to survey and experience community-based cultural tourism products and services, connecting tours to Hung Temple - Thanh Son - Long Coc; Hung Temple - Thanh Thuy; Hung Temple - Xuan Son - Long Coc; organizing seminars and exchange programs to improve the quality of tourism services with travel companies in the province and the northern mountainous provinces; actively participating in tourism promotion and stimulus activities at the "Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land" program in 2025 (held from March 6th to March 10th according to the lunar calendar)...

In addition, the Association also develops plans and coordinates with branches throughout the province to organize community training courses, improving basic knowledge and skills in reception, housekeeping, table service, bartending, and culinary arts; and training tour guide skills. It also develops preferential tourism service products with the motto "reduce costs but maintain service quality"... to stimulate demand and attract tourism.

Ms. Bui Thi Lich, Director of Indochina Tourist & Trade Company in Hanoi, said: "While in previous years we mainly developed inter-provincial tours and chose Phu Tho as the first destination during the Hung Temple Festival, this year, our tours will last 2 days and 1 night or 3 days and 2 nights, combining cultural experiences and relaxation in Phu Tho. Tourists visiting Phu Tho will not only visit and worship at the Hung Temple Historical Site but also experience cultural activities such as: Xoan singing in ancient villages; experiencing the culinary culture of the three regions of North, Central, and South Vietnam at the 'Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land' program; visiting Long Coc tea hills and exploring the cultural colors of the Muong and Dao ethnic minorities in Tan Son; bathing in hot springs and experiencing relaxation services in Thanh Thuy... These will truly be attractive tourism products, creating a highlight for the Hung Temple Festival tourism season in 2025."

According to travel agencies in the province, the number of bookings for tours and tourism services from March 29th to April 4th (corresponding to March 1st - 7th in the lunar calendar) reached approximately 10% of the plan. This number is expected to continue to increase sharply during the weekend and on the main holiday, March 10th.

Members of the Provincial Tourism Association participated in the "Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land" program during the Ancestor Commemoration Day to support the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 2025 tourism stimulus program.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Lan - Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, said: The Association currently has 108 members including travel agencies, tourism service businesses, and accommodation establishments; 100% of the Association's members have registered to participate in tourism stimulus programs during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Hung Kings' Cultural and Tourism Week.

To ensure the effectiveness of tourism promotion and stimulus activities during the festival, the Association is continuing to strengthen coordination with its branches to inspect and supervise members in strictly providing services that guarantee good product quality and reduce product costs; and encouraging tourism service businesses to extend their participation in tourism stimulus programs to create conditions for people and tourists to participate in activities at the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week safely and attractively.

This will contribute to making Phu Tho an attractive destination, creating a unique impression in the hearts of tourists.
