On the afternoon of June 2, according to the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, during the process of calling candidates into the Literature exam room, the entrance exam for grade 10 of the 2023-2024 school year, at Examination Council No. 8 - Do Son High School (Hai Phong), the examination officer discovered a candidate carrying a hearing aid.
The examination board has handled the matter by not allowing the candidate to bring the above device into the examination room and at the same time, transferred the device to Hai Phong City Police for security check.
As a result, the device only has the function of amplifying sound, without the function of transmitting, and is used in the examination room.
The 2023-2024 Hai Phong City public high school entrance exam has 24,499 candidates participating. The public high school entrance exam will take place over 3 days from June 1 to June 3. For specialized high schools, the exam schedule is from June 4 to June 6.
The Hai Phong Department of Education and Training established 45 general examination councils (1,034 examination rooms) and 3 examination councils for Tran Phu High School for the Gifted (97 examination rooms). In each examination room, tables and chairs ensure a minimum distance of 1.2 m between two candidates sitting next to each other in a horizontal row.
According to Mr. Bui Van Kiem, Director of the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, the unit mobilized more than 2,200 cadres, teachers, and employees to participate in the examination councils. Professional training for leaders of examination sites, examination room supervisors, examination inspectors, etc. was enhanced.
In addition, the industry also established mobile inspection teams to conduct surprise inspections of all examination rooms before and during the exam period.
