Kim Long boasts a large heritage system with 16 historical sites.

With an area of ​​over 90km² and nearly 49,000 people, Kim Long is a ward with a fairly large natural area. Not only is it a "spiritual" land along the Perfume River, Kim Long is also home to a large heritage system of 16 relics, including 6 national relics such as Gia Long Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb, Van Thanh, Thien Mu Pagoda...; along with 14 communal houses, many long-standing pagodas and heritage gardens in the Phu Mong - Kim Long area.

According to Hoang Phuoc Nhat, Secretary of the Kim Long Ward Party Committee, building on that foundation, during the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee and people of Kim Long Ward successfully implemented 11 out of 14 targets set in the resolution. In addition, many key projects of the city have been and are being implemented in the area, such as: expanding the Kim Long and Van Xuan bridges, Nguyen Hoang road, Ring Road 3, and the embankment to prevent landslides along the Bach Yen River... contributing to improving the infrastructure for the ward's development.

From an ancient land associated with many layers of cultural sediments, Kim Long has gradually transformed into a dynamic and civilized urban area. All alleys and lanes in the area have been basically concreted according to the method of "State and People working together", creating a spacious appearance, promoting the development of services, tourism , and attracting tourists.

Not only investing in infrastructure, the ward also pays special attention to developing tourism associated with heritage conservation. The formation of community tours, spiritual tourism and resort tourism at relic sites, garden houses, communal houses and natural landscapes such as Huong River, Kim Phung Mountain, Huyen Khong Son Thuong, Ve Nguon eco-tourism area... is gradually making Kim Long an attractive destination of Hue .

To date, the locality has completed the plan to reorganize the administrative apparatus after the merger, laying a solid foundation and creating new momentum and strength for continued rapid and sustainable development.

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, Kim Long ward has set out a comprehensive development vision, clearly identifying 5 key programs and 5 breakthroughs. Notably, the program to develop synchronous and modern urban infrastructure; tourism - services associated with cultural heritage; administrative reform associated with digital transformation and building schools that meet national standards.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoang Phuoc Nhat Ward shared that the current key task is to maximize the advantages of heritage and traditional culture to transform them into sustainable economic driving forces. “We determined that if we do not boldly make breakthroughs, innovate management thinking, and take drastic actions, we will miss the golden development opportunities that the times bring,” said Mr. Nhat.

In fact, the ward has been actively promoting large-scale projects: Kim Long new urban area, Huong An, Long Ho 1-2 urban area, Khe Ngang lake cultural tourism area, Long Ho golf course project, Hue Spirit Sanctuary resort... At the same time, promoting site clearance for key projects such as expanding Nguyen Hoang, beltway 3, urban areas, rest stops on both sides of Tuan station road...

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Sy Toan Ward informed: Kim Long is prioritizing economic development according to the structure of "Tourism - services - trade; small-scale industry - agriculture". The Ward encourages people to develop garden tourism, community tourism in traditional craft villages such as making cakes, Kim Long jams, Luu Bao rice paper, Kim Phung and Hon Vuon mountain eco-tourism areas...

Alongside this is a strong digital transformation strategy: developing digital government and the digital economy, promoting online public services to improve the efficiency of management, administration, and service to the people; and building a smart, safe, and convenient living environment.

In the field of education, Kim Long aims to have 80-90% of schools meeting national standards by 2030. Regarding social security, the ward strives to have no poor households; average income per capita reaches 5,500-6,000 USD/year; 99.8% of people participate in health insurance, and more than 30% of the workforce participates in social insurance.

“In addition to investment programs, Kim Long focuses on preserving and promoting Hue’s cultural identity - what makes this land a “brand”. The ethical values, family traditions, etiquette, studiousness and hospitality of Kim Long people are considered an important foundation for building a civilized urban lifestyle and comprehensive human development”, emphasized Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoang Phuoc Nhat Ward.

Kim Long also demonstrates strong political determination in Party building and strengthening the political system. For the next term, the ward aims to recruit 36-40 new Party members per year; and ensure that 80% of Party organizations, members, and the Party Committee successfully complete their tasks or better.

Proud of its historical depth, heritage strength and revolutionary tradition, Kim Long today is moving forward, taking advantage of every opportunity, exploiting every resource, accepting challenges and striving to become one of the bright spots in sustainable urban - cultural - tourism development of Hue city.
