Active listening and feedback skills

(CT) - On the afternoon of May 17th, the Can Tho City Social Work Center organized a thematic session on life skills education titled "Listening Skills and Positive Response".

The children's group participated in the thematic activity session.

Through images and stories presented, the children at the center learned about the concept of listening, active listening (absorbing information, building friendly and harmonious relationships, accepting and respecting differing opinions, showing humility, etc.); and how to practice active listening skills. They independently solved and handled situations in their daily lives, thereby understanding the meaning and developing active listening skills when receiving feedback and sharing from others, contributing to building a healthy communication environment and fostering unity and camaraderie at the center.

This activity is part of the "Life Skills and Career Guidance Education for Children with Special Circumstances" model at the Center in 2025. Monthly, the children participate in thematic activities with many practical and beneficial contents; experiential learning activities, field trips, to acquire and practice life skills. They develop morality, a healthy and responsible lifestyle, self-confidence, positive thinking, and make correct choices; they develop safely, creating a safe and healthy learning and play environment…
