Journalism in the style of Uncle Ho.

President Ho Chi Minh is a shining example of the ethics of revolutionary journalists. He left us an invaluable journalistic legacy with a profound system of thoughts and guiding principles on the practical and theoretical aspects of revolutionary journalism, along with thousands of exemplary journalistic works that have been published. Following his example, journalists at Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station always strive to improve their professional skills and ethical qualities to better serve the needs of their audience and readers.

Journalism must reflect the "breath" of life.

President Ho Chi Minh once advised: "The task of a journalist is important and glorious. To fulfill that task well, one must strive to study politics , raise one's ideology, improve one's cultural level, and delve deeply into one's profession..." For journalist Ngoc Man, each day of journalism is a day of striving in fulfilling her mission.

Journalist Ngoc Man, who has spent many years working in the fields of Party building and healthcare , is determined to uphold the spirit of self-improvement in ethics, work style, and civic duty as a journalist. She believes that, in learning from President Ho Chi Minh's journalistic style, in addition to the above elements, the press in general, and she in particular, need to promptly identify and commend new factors and exemplary individuals, upholding the Party spirit and fighting nature of the Party newspaper.

"President Ho Chi Minh once said, 'A person without good morals cannot be a good journalist.' Therefore, cultivating professional ethics is a regular and continuous task for us. The ethics of a journalist, like learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example, may seem lofty, but in reality, it's closely linked to our daily work and cannot be neglected."

"Learning from Uncle Ho in journalism, I believe, is also about sharpening my pen, purifying my heart, and serving the common good for the development of my homeland and the specific, vital interests of each citizen. It's about conscience, responsibility, and maintaining the reputation of each journalist with an increasingly sophisticated and demanding public..." - said journalist Ngoc Man.

Having clearly defined the target audience, Uncle Ho instructed on how to write in a simple and authentic way so that the people could easily understand. He emphasized that writing must be appropriate to the reader's level, clear and concise; avoiding excessive use of words, refraining from using words one doesn't understand, and using words that exist in the Vietnamese language, ensuring that the masses understand, believe, and are determined to follow his call. Uncle Ho always demanded the preservation of the purity of the Vietnamese language and the protection and development of the national language. Remembering that advice, she resolved that in each of her works, she must convey the core content and choose appropriate characters.

Having grown up under the "common roof" of Long An Newspaper (now Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station ), journalist Ngoc Man has been recognized and ranked as an outstanding employee and party member; a grassroots-level emulation fighter, and has won the Provincial Journalism Award for many years.

Ensuring accuracy and integrity.

According to Tran Huynh Phong, caution and accuracy are essential requirements for reporters covering domestic affairs.

For 12 years in the profession, journalist Tran Huynh Phong has been deeply concerned with topics that reflect real life. To find compelling topics, he regularly visits local communities to understand the thoughts, feelings, and legitimate aspirations of the people, acting as a "bridge" to convey these issues to relevant authorities for timely resolution.

Responsible for the field of internal affairs – a subject considered difficult – he had to read and study extensively. Phong stated that, in learning from President Ho Chi Minh's journalistic style, truthfulness was always paramount. Regardless of the genre, President Ho Chi Minh's articles always reflected objective reality accurately, without embellishing, distorting, or being one-sided. This is the noble quality of professional ethics, the foundation of a true journalist.

Mr. Phong said: "Following President Ho Chi Minh's example, journalists correctly identify their purpose and mission: who are they writing for? What is the purpose of their writing? This further affirms their important position, adhering closely to core values by providing timely, truthful, accurate, and multifaceted news and articles, contributing to shaping public opinion and creating consensus in awareness and action within the entire political system and among the people."

According to Nguyen Thi Huyen Thu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, the Editorial Board directs and guides journalists and reporters to regularly stay close to the grassroots, promptly identify and publish news and articles encouraging and commending advanced models in "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" at all levels, sectors, and units; considering this an important propaganda task of the unit. Long An Newspaper (now Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station) carefully selects and considers information to provide accurate and balanced coverage across sectors and localities in the province.

The special section on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, along with several other sections and features, focuses on promoting new human values: patriotism, diligence, creativity, and community service, thereby contributing to the local area's successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks. The Editorial Board also creates opportunities for journalists, reporters, and editors to learn and improve their journalistic skills and experience, as well as organizing seminars on topics related to journalism, journalistic ethics, and journalism in the style of Ho Chi Minh, etc.

Over the past period, cadres and Party members have demonstrated a high degree of self-awareness in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style by upholding responsibility in their professional work, cultivating moral qualities, and speaking and acting in accordance with the Party's resolutions and policies; there have been no signs of corruption, violations of professional ethics, or violations of the law. Every year, newspapers and radio stations plan and organize special programs on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style."

Cadres, Party members, and the general public have all developed plans for self-cultivation and training. Over the past 10 years, newspapers and radio stations have praised and rewarded many outstanding individuals and groups. The Party Committee and its subordinate branches have developed models for implementation and conducted thematic discussions.

These models are effective, economical, improve content quality, and streamline journalistic processes, making them more scientific and rigorous. Discipline and order among cadres, Party members, and the public are strictly enforced, fostering a high sense of responsibility; a scientific work style; consistency between words and actions; and the cultivation of professional ethics among journalists.

Information in the press is increasingly rapid, timely, and accurate, contributing to shaping public opinion and creating consensus in awareness and action throughout the political system and among the people. In addition, the press actively discovers and promotes new factors and exemplary models in various fields; promptly criticizes and combats corruption, waste, and negative practices; refutes false information and viewpoints, and the "peaceful evolution" schemes of reactionary and hostile forces;... contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State.
