Lam vows to be "proletarian" for Duong.
Episode 8 of "We Are 8 Years Later," which aired on the evening of November 21st, revealed a scene where Lam (Quoc Anh) decides to "change his mind" and try to win back Duong ( Hoang Ha) because he understands his feelings for her.
But that didn't stop Duong from mocking and attacking him. She said to Lam: "If you've already signed the contract and gotten the job, then according to the agreement with him, you should be staying away from me. But now you're acting like you want to normalize our relationship. You're flirting with me again. Frankly, you're both greedy and untrustworthy now." At this point, Lam revealed the truth about his conversation with Mr. Quang.
Lam went to see Mr. Quang to ask for a chance to get to know Duong.
Lam's failure to keep his promise also angered Chairman Quang greatly. When he met with him, Lam explained: "My greatest weapon is that I like Duong, and I believe Duong also has feelings for me. I just wanted one more chance with her. I had no intention of threatening the father of the girl I like. But I know about the incident six years ago."
Upon hearing Lam's words, Chairman Quang was furious, believing Lam was threatening him. However, the incident from six years ago that Lam mentioned truly worried him. Furthermore, he was very concerned for his daughter, so he ordered an investigation into the relationship between Lam and Ai Phi.
In another development, Ai Phi met with Duong to learn about the girl Lam loved. Ai Phi also told Duong that Lam had helped her register several properties under her name. In return, he was able to buy back the apartment at a cheap price. Ai Phi was always grateful to Lam, so before leaving, she helped him resolve the misunderstanding with Duong. Ai Phi also advised Lam to actively pursue Duong so he wouldn't have any regrets.
Chairman Quang was angry because he felt threatened by Lam.
Later, Lam took Duong to a stargazing date and officially confessed his feelings to her. Lam told Duong, "There were times I saw you as the sun, but other times I saw you as Venus. Because Venus is the only planet in the solar system that rotates counter-clockwise. Venus rotates from east to west. All the other planets rotate from west to east. Just like you. Always the exception."
In response to Lam, Duong humorously said that she was not only Venus but also Venus. And when Venus shines upon Lam's life, his house will be completely swept away.
Immediately, Lam seized the opportunity to confess his feelings to Duong: "If you agree to shine your light on me, I'll willingly become penniless." The two then shared romantic and happy moments together, including a fleeting, sweet kiss.
Lam confessed his love to Duong and said he would sacrifice everything for her.
Teacher Nguyet's criteria for choosing a boyfriend are surprising.
In another development, Duong was shocked to see Nguyet (Hoang Huyen) reading books about the rules of married life despite having only recently met Tung (Tran Nghia). Thinking about Tung dating other girls, Duong advised her best friend to always be cautious in love and to thoroughly get to know her boyfriend.
Nguyệt read books to learn about the rules of married life, even though she had only recently met Tùng.
In response to Duong, Nguyet seemed unconcerned and said it wasn't necessary to delve too deeply into a guy's background. Nguyet also revealed to her best friend the reason she chose Tung. For Nguyet, Tung was like a mischievous student she had met before, always causing trouble but also lovable, and once she had managed to mold him, she felt a sense of accomplishment.
Seeing her best friend, Duong was genuinely worried because she knew Nguyet was looking for a boyfriend based on the criteria of teaching students.
