Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trinh Chi, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Binh Thanh Dong commune, said that in recent times, the unit has focused on implementing emulation movements, campaigns, and key tasks of the union's work in line with local realities, achieving many positive results. Notably, the role of women in building happy families, preserving the living environment, implementing social welfare, and participating in building new rural areas has been promoted. The campaign "Building families with 5 no's, 3 clean's, and 3 safe's" continues to be widely implemented, creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of women members.
Many families have proactively implemented criteria for building prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized families; maintaining environmental hygiene, creating green, clean, and beautiful landscapes, and paying more attention to ensuring the safety of women and children. In addition, models such as "One Family, One Happy Address," "Women's Association Branch Number," "Circle of Love," and the "Godmother" program have created a positive ripple effect in the community. These activities not only contribute to caring for the material and spiritual lives of members, women, and children in difficult circumstances, but also help to enhance the status of the association and affirm the role of women in the family and society.
The Women's Union of Binh Thanh Dong commune highly values two models: "Digital Women's Union Branch" and "One Happy Address for Every Family." These two models are innovative, closely aligned with the local political agenda, and meet the practical needs of women members in the current period. Specifically, the "Digital Women's Union Branch" model is a solution to support the locality in implementing digital transformation and Government Decree 06. Through this model, the union disseminates information and guides members in installing and using digital applications, exploiting the benefits of VNeID electronic identity cards, accessing online public services, making cashless payments, and applying technology in daily life. Through implementation, many members have gradually changed their habits from traditional methods to a digital environment, contributing to improving digital skills for women, especially women in rural areas.
Furthermore, the "One Happy Family" model was developed by the association with the desire that each member family become a shining example of love, responsibility, and sharing. This model is linked to the "Building a Family with 5 No's, 3 Cleanliness Standards, and 3 Safeties" campaign, thereby helping members raise awareness about building happy families, maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful living environment, and creating a safe environment for women and children. Many families have proactively implemented the campaign's criteria, paying more attention to their children's education , preserving family happiness, and building a cultural life.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trinh stated: “These models have created a clear transformation in the awareness and actions of our members. While the “Digital Women's Association” model helps women confidently access technology and gradually participate in the digital transformation process, the “One Happy Address for Every Family” model contributes to cultivating positive values within each family. Although the two models differ in content, they both aim for the common goal of improving the quality of life for women members, building happy families, and making a positive contribution to local development.”
Ms. Chau Thi Tuyet, a member of the Women's Association in Binh Trung 2 hamlet, shared: “The most meaningful aspect of the association's activities and models over the past time is helping women better understand their roles in the family and community. I have noticed that many women are becoming more confident and proactive in taking care of their families, educating their children, and participating in social activities.” Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, a member of the Women's Association in Binh Quoi 1 hamlet, also expressed: “As a women's association member, I will continue to actively participate in the association's activities, proactively learn, improve my knowledge and digital skills; and at the same time, promote and encourage my relatives to participate in the movements and campaigns launched by the association. I believe that when each member proactively changes and contributes together, the association will develop stronger and stronger and truly become a support system for women.”
In the coming period, the Women's Union of Binh Thanh Dong commune will focus on building models that inherit and develop from the achievements already made. If the "Digital Women's Union Branch" model contributes to the formation of digital members, the next goal of the union is to gradually build "Digital Families," bringing digital transformation from the union organization to each household. The union will guide each member family to become an active subject in digital transformation, knowing how to effectively exploit the benefits of Project 06, using online public services, cashless payments, accessing official information in the digital environment, and protecting women and children from risks in cyberspace.
