Silently contributing to maintaining peace at the grassroots level.

Throughout more than 80 years of building, fighting, and maturing, women in the People's Public Security Force have always been one of the most important forces. At the grassroots level, female officers and soldiers of the commune and ward police are the closest to the people, accompanying them in every aspect of their daily lives.

Over the years, in implementing the Party and State's policy, the Central Party Committee of Public Security, and the Ministry of Public Security 's leadership on building regular police forces in communes and towns, and strengthening regular police forces at the grassroots level, female police officers have clearly demonstrated their role, capabilities, courage, and sense of responsibility on the front lines of maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. They are both regular officers, fully performing their professional duties in crime prevention and control, and skillfully leveraging the unique advantages of women in public relations and administrative management, becoming a key force in providing legal guidance, mobilizing people to combat social evils, and participating in the nationwide movement to protect national security.

In implementing digital transformation and administrative reform, female police officers are at the forefront of cleaning up citizen data and assisting people in carrying out administrative procedures and public services online right at the local level. It is evident that every valuable tip received, every successful case managed and educated, every strengthened self-governance model... all bear the mark of the dedication, responsibility, and intelligence of these women in police uniforms.

One of the most memorable experiences for Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Security Team, Nui Thanh Commune Police Station, Da Nang City, during her time on duty was near the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse. Lieutenant Colonel Hien recounted: "While I was on duty, an elderly woman came to me, distraught and crying profusely, reporting that she had lost her wallet while shopping. She was in a very difficult situation; her husband was frequently ill, and the money in the wallet was her savings accumulated over many months for his medicine and for the New Year's preparations. I comforted her and quickly reported the incident to the shift commander, who assigned officers and soldiers to immediately go to the area to search and coordinate with local forces. Very quickly, we found the wallet with all its documents and belongings intact. Witnessing her receive her wallet, burst into tears again, and repeatedly express her gratitude to the commune police, I was truly happy to have contributed to a meaningful work for the people."

At the grassroots level, female police officers are not only dedicated, close to the people, and diligent in handling daily tasks, but also directly participate in preventing and combating violations of the law, handling complex security and order issues, doing good work in public relations, and supporting people in their daily lives. In particularly difficult border areas, Lieutenant Colonel Lo Thi Tuyet (Dien Bien Provincial Police) proactively advises on strict management of residency, monitors hundreds of foreigners entering and leaving the area, preventing any complications, and performs well in translation and protection of international delegations. She also acts as a godmother to two orphaned children in difficult circumstances and supports young men when they enlist in the military.

In the fight against criminal offenses and social vices, female police officers at the grassroots level have also made a significant mark. For example, Major Nguyen Thi Diep Oanh, Deputy Head of the General Affairs Team in Da Bac commune, Ca Mau province, directly advised on and implemented the arrest of suspects in five drug cases, eradicated eight social vice cases involving 37 individuals, and simultaneously developed the "Drug-Free School" model, attracting 14 educational institutions and over 7,000 students to participate in the commitment.

In An Lac commune (Bac Ninh province), Captain Le Thi Xuan, Head of the Women's Association, advised on the development and launch of the model "Women in the Commune Police - 3 Dedication - 4 Readiness - Serving the People" with the action slogan "Commitment to the people, dedicated service". The model is concretized through specific actions such as sponsoring two children in difficult circumstances, organizing visits to families of policy beneficiaries, improving the quality of public service, and resolving administrative procedures. The above figures affirm that, on any front, female officers always fully demonstrate the courage and capabilities of a professional, elite revolutionary police officer.

Many female grassroots police officers have been entrusted with the positions of head and deputy head of commune, ward, and town police, affirming their position in the grassroots political system and becoming a reliable pillar of support for local Party committees, authorities, and people. They consistently demonstrate courage, agility, dynamism, and creativity in all assigned tasks. Many have come up with innovative ideas and proactively advised local Party committees and authorities on effectively directing and implementing tasks to ensure security and order, and launching the "All People Protect National Security" movement in the new context.

Major Nguyen Dang Hong Linh, Deputy Head of the Suoi Hiep Commune Police (Khanh Hoa), is a prime example of a capable, dynamic, and responsible female grassroots police officer. With the motto "Listen to the people, explain so the people understand, and earn the people's trust," Major Linh regularly works with her officers and soldiers in the area, directly meeting with and listening to the concerns and aspirations of the people to promptly resolve emerging issues and prevent the formation of security and order hotspots.

Over the years, Major Linh and his unit have organized numerous legal awareness campaigns and mobilized the public to participate in crime prevention and control; they have directly guided the development and maintenance of self-governing models for security and order such as "People's Patrol Teams" and "Drug-Free Residential Areas". In particular, the exemplary model "Peaceful Religious Community" received a commendation from the Ministry of Public Security and has been replicated nationwide.

In the minds of the people of Suoi Hiep commune, the image of the female police commander, disregarding danger, rushed into the raging floodwaters with her colleagues during the heavy rains and floods that occurred in the area in November 2025, remains unforgettable. Although her family was also affected by the flood at that time, she still directly participated with the Commune Police Command in urgently deploying rescue and relief efforts, relocating people from deeply flooded areas, protecting property, and assisting people in overcoming the consequences. Major Linh shared: "For me, serving the people doesn't require grand gestures; it's simply about dedication, perseverance, a willingness to contribute, and doing my daily job well."
