From the morning of April 19th to 10:00 AM on April 20th, the voter consultation teams of Chau Doc City carried out the task of gathering opinions from voters on the plan for rearranging administrative units at the commune and provincial levels.

The group leader is the Party branch secretary or the head of the hamlet/neighborhood; the members are representatives of political and social organizations and reputable citizens in the hamlet/neighborhood; the secretary is an official, civil servant, or teacher working in the area. The consultation process is conducted at people's homes, business areas, etc., ensuring convenience and minimizing disruption to people's daily lives and work.

For Chau Doc City, the wards of Vinh Nguon, Chau Phu A, Chau Phu B, Vinh My, and My An hamlet of Vinh Chau commune will be merged into a new ward called Chau Doc ward (area over 41 ^km² , population over 97,400 people). The wards of Nui Sam, Vinh Te commune, and the remaining area of ​​Vinh Chau commune will be merged into Vinh Te ward (over 64 ^km² and 40,222 people).

The team collecting voter opinions went to each household, distributing ballots to voter representatives. After receiving the ballots, voters studied and considered them, marking their opinions in the "agree" or "disagree" boxes, or leaving other comments. According to the reporter's observations, on the morning of April 19th, all voters surveyed expressed strong agreement with the local plan.
