On March 13th, the People's Committee of Tra Linh town (Trung Khanh district) organized the "Hang Tan" Festival and the 2025 Sports Festival, attracting a large number of local people and those from neighboring areas.

The "Háng Tán" festival originates from the Nông Thống Lang Temple festival, a long-standing local tradition aimed at praying for favorable weather, abundant harvests, and prosperous business in the new year. Previously, the festival was held on the 9th day of the 3rd lunar month annually; later, it was moved to the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month, coinciding with the ritual of offering sacrifices to the gods (also known as the ritual of praying for blessings). Today, the festival coincides with the local market day.

This year's festival consists of two parts: The ceremonial part, held before the opening ceremony, involves offering incense at the Nong Thong Lang Temple, featuring agricultural products made by the local people, each product possessing its own unique characteristics and profound humanistic significance. The festive part includes activities such as: cultural exchange performances between hamlets, residential areas, communes, and towns with unique artistic performances praising love for the homeland and country, national pride, and folk songs such as "hat luon," "da hai," and "put lan"; an exhibition space showcasing local culture, cuisine, and products; a 300-person folk dance performance; and competitions in attractive folk games such as "tung con," tug-of-war, "lay co," and stick pushing.

Besides the festival itself, a sports competition is held, featuring events such as football, pickleball, and chess, attracting a large number of local people. Furthermore, at the festival, locals and tourists have the opportunity to enjoy local specialties with unique flavors, such as roasted duck, roasted pork, and various types of cakes made by the local people.

The festival is an opportunity for people to meet, exchange experiences in livestock farming and crop cultivation, and engage in cultural and artistic exchanges among ethnic groups in the district; contributing to preserving, promoting, and honoring cultural values, strengthening solidarity, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people. Through this, it promotes and introduces the land and people of Cao Bang to friends near and far.
