The Ramuwan Festival of the Cham people following the Ba Ni Islam (abbreviated as the Cham Ba Ni people) is also called Ramadan (or the month of fasting - praying), which is considered a traditional New Year with its own unique characteristics of the Cham people following the Ba Ni Islam, so it is also called "Festival" or "Tet" which takes place on the first day of the 9th month according to the Islamic calendar and lasts for a month (ie there is no fixed date, usually falling between March and June of the solar calendar every year). In 2024, the festival falls in March of the solar calendar (from March 11).

After the Tomb Sweeping Ceremony, Cham families return home to worship their ancestors according to traditional customs and hold an intimate party to entertain guests and friends. Children and grandchildren gather together with traditional offerings to offer and invite grandparents and ancestors to celebrate with the family.

Many Cham people living abroad will also return to celebrate the Ramuwan festival with their families.

Ramưwan Festival is a large and important festival in the social life of the Cham community following the Ba Ni religion (Awal). The festival has been preserved and inherited for a long time and takes place annually at certain times according to the Cham Ba Ni calendar. Ramưwan Tomb Sweeping Festival is an occasion for the Cham people to remember their ancestors and educate their descendants about filial piety, gratitude to their roots, and demonstrate the morality of remembering the source of water when drinking. Ramưwan Tomb Sweeping Festival is an indispensable spiritual and cultural product of the Cham Ba Ni people, and it is also a beautiful feature of culture, contributing to creating a unique cultural appearance and identity in harmony with the diverse Vietnamese culture.
