Ms. Phan Chau Khanh Chi (residing in Long An ward) checked in to celebrate Christmas early at the cafe.

Instead of visiting shopping malls or amusement parks like in previous years, this year, Ms. Phan Chau Khanh Chi (residing in Long An ward) chose to go to a cafe to chat with friends. Ms. Chi said that the Christmas atmosphere at cafes this year was just as lively and bustling as at larger entertainment venues. “I usually check suggestions in review groups and choose cafes that aren't too crowded so I can easily take photos and check in comfortably. Most of the cafes are beautifully decorated; you can take pretty pictures from any angle,” Ms. Chi said.

In recent days, Hyli Coffee (Long An Ward) has become much livelier with its dazzling Christmas decorations. This year, the owner chose a main color scheme of green and red, accented with white from dozens of teddy bears and large and small pine trees arranged tastefully. The harmoniously colored gift boxes further enhance the warm and charming atmosphere. The space becomes even more enchanting with the addition of lighting effects at night, making it an ideal spot for Christmas photos.

Mr. Nguyen Huynh Nhut Huy, owner of Hyli Coffee, said: “I came up with the idea for Christmas decorations at the end of November. After decorating, the cafe became busier. Many young people came to take photos and then sat down to enjoy drinks. I think investing in decorating the cafe was completely worthwhile, creating a fresh atmosphere and giving customers a more enjoyable experience every time they visit.”

Nguyen Quynh Nhu (from Thuan My commune), a customer at the cafe, shared: “I was quite surprised that some cafes had decorated for Christmas so early. When I stepped inside, the Christmas atmosphere was overwhelming, making me feel even more excited. The space is warm and comfortable, and the drinks here are also very delicious. My friends and I even took many beautiful photos to post on Facebook.”

Huynh Cong Thuan, owner of December Coffee (Duc Hoa commune), also decorated his cafe early with many Christmas-themed items. He said: “I started decorating my cafe at the beginning of October, mostly doing it myself, so I did it gradually during my free time. The decorations prioritize a simple, warm style and reuse many items from the previous year to suit the size and style of the cafe. Thanks to the seasonal changes in decoration, the number of customers visiting my cafe has increased by 20-30% compared to normal days.”

The Christmas decorations at December Coffee (Duc Hoa commune) are popular among young people, who choose it as a place to capture memorable moments with friends.

Beyond simply decorating their spaces, many cafes are refreshing the customer experience by using Christmas-themed cups, arranging seating, and adjusting opening hours to meet the increased demand during the Christmas season. As a result, cafes are not only popular photo spots but also become meeting places that bring a cheerful atmosphere amidst the busy end-of-year period.

Thanks to the festive Christmas atmosphere and many well-designed photo spots, cafes have attracted a significant increase in customers. The competition in decorations also gives customers more suitable options when looking for a place to socialize during the Christmas season.
