Domestic pepper prices on October 7, 2024
Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak is being purchased at 147,500 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to last week. The price of pepper in Chu Se (Gia Lai) is being purchased at 146,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to last week. The price of pepper in Dak Nong today is recorded at 147,500 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today have dropped sharply by 2,000 VND/kg compared to last week. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the price is currently 147,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg from last week; in Binh Phuoc, the price is also 147,000 VND/kg.

In the first nine months of 2024, Vietnam's exports of agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products reached US$46.28 billion, an increase of 21% compared to the same period last year. Imports of these items also increased to US$32.42 billion, a 7.5% increase.
Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of US$13.86 billion from agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, a 71.2% increase year-on-year. Products such as coffee and pepper showed notable growth. Specifically, coffee exports reached US$4.37 billion, a 39.6% increase, despite a 10.5% decrease in export volume. Pepper exports also saw strong growth, reaching US$1 billion, a 46.9% increase.
The average export price of coffee increased by 56%, reaching US$3,897 per ton, while pepper increased by 49.2%, reaching US$4,941 per ton. Experts predict that the Vietnamese pepper market will continue to grow and maintain stable prices in the near future. Currently, domestic pepper supply is almost depleted, with only a few remaining in the warehouses of businesses.
Today's world pepper prices
According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the close of the most recent trading session, the IPC listed Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$6,782/ton and Muntok white pepper at US$9,068/ton.
Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper is priced at US$6,850/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper remains stable at US$8,900/ton; the price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper reached US$11,400/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices remained stable at high levels today, trading at US$6,800/ton for the 500 g/l variety; US$7,100/ton for the 550 g/l variety; and white pepper at US$10,150/ton.
