Mascot on Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet 2025: elaborately created 'Ty lady' is not cold

Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year 2025 this year uses a large amount of flower beds, estimated to total up to 109,000 flower baskets of all kinds. Construction time is from 7am on January 9 to 12pm on January 27. The focus is on the snake mascot.

This year's flower street has about 90 snake mascots with diverse colors and shapes, most of them are concentrated behind the flower street entrance gate.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet At Ty 2025 has the theme "Brocade and flower mountains and rivers, happy spring in peace", open to serve the spring sightseeing and enjoyment needs of city residents and tourists from 7:00 p.m. on January 27 (28th of Tet) to 9:00 p.m. on February 2 (5th of Tet).

According to the announcement of the organizing committee, this year's Nguyen Hue flower street is divided into 3 segments: "Unity", "Transformation" and "Development".

2025 is a year of many important holidays and events for the nation, so in order to convey the message of celebrating the New Year, opening the important events of 2025, the President Ho Chi Minh statue area is designed solemnly, meaningfully, majestically and warmly.

The grand opening scene of Nguyen Hue Flower Street this year creates a "Dance of Unification" like a resounding triumphal song, majestic and heroic, firmly advancing to a new era for the homeland of Vietnam, "The mountains and rivers are covered with brocade and flowers, and the spring is joyful and peaceful".

Regarding the At Ty 2025 mascot, according to the organizers, it will create an impression of a pair of warm snakes and a graceful Ty lady. This has always been the focus of public attention over the years, and the organizers must invest to receive the appreciation of the majority.

"When it comes to snakes, we often feel a bit insecure, but on the other hand, snakes have a flexible nature. Overcoming these challenges, the design team has carefully created the mascot image of the year of the Snake into a gentle, graceful work of art that is highly anticipated before the Lunar New Year," explained the representative of the organizing committee.

Accordingly, the Kim Ty and Ngan Ty couple at the Nguyen Hue flower street 2025 entrance gate is an impressive return in appearance, size and manufacturing method compared to the Quy Ty 2013 couple.

The pair of Ngan Ty (female) is 25m long and Kim Ty (male) is 42m long, their whole bodies winding in 3 intertwined circles, forming a base more than 11m wide, with a height from the body adjacent to the flower base to the top of the head of over 6m.

70% of the materials used to make Kim Ty and Ngan Ty are environmentally friendly. The snake's head and belly are covered with painted pressed bamboo panels, and the entire upper back is covered with reflective mirror mica scales, creating the shimmer of "kim" and "ngan".

The total number of scales on the body of Ngan Ty is about 2,700 pieces and Kim Ty is nearly 3,600 pieces, completely hand-attached with LED lights running along both sides of the belly. The snake eyes are also a highlight compared to Quy Ty 2013, with a diameter of 10cm, painted according to the design, the eyes of At Ty 2025 bring soul to the mascot.

Lady Ty of the flower street

Unlike Kim Ty and Ngan Ty who shine brightly even under the sunlight or at night, Ty has the hidden charm of a Southern girl in her typical costume, with "accessories" such as a checkered scarf and conical hat.

Modeled after the shape of a king cobra with its head raised, its entire body covered in green, the color of life and growth, Lady Ty reaches an impressive size of more than 50m long and more than 10m high.

The head is made of foam, fine mesh, steel and mosquito net. The body of the Snake is made of nearly 3,000 painted foam scales, bent into two rings, the largest of which is nearly 9 meters in diameter.

The welcome gate area is designed with the couple Kim Ty (female) and Ngan Ty (male) with impressive appearance in size and craftsmanship compared to the occasion of Tet Quy Ty 2013.

Despite its “huge” size, Lady Ty is crafted mostly from materials with light and medium weight. With a height of more than 10m, Lady Ty’s structure is divided into two main parts: the head and the body. In addition to the steel used for the load-bearing structure, the head has a material ratio of 25% foam, 55% fine wire mesh and the foam ratio in the body is 40%.

Two-thirds of the length of the Snake lies on the ground, using the spiral body as a base, one-third of the body is more than 5m long in an upright position, the snake's gills are more than 3m long and are made of a steel frame covered with a soft mesh that has a light structure and does not block the wind.

This year, the organizers used a large amount of flower background for Nguyen Hue flower street.

Large-scale landscape designs, occupying almost the entire width of the flower street, have been used in recent years and have brought positive results, loved by visitors. Large-scale landscapes help visitors feel more clearly the art of crafting and shaping outside and inside the landscape.

Since its first implementation in 2004, Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet 2025 has turned 22 years old. Considered a cultural symbol of Tet in Ho Chi Minh City, the flower street is always awaited by people with many interesting discoveries and "check-in" corners to save images.

This unique project is organized and implemented by Saigon Tourist Group, in coordination with departments, agencies and businesses, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
