The An Huy urban area project, located in My Hanh Bac commune, Duc Hoa district, received investment approval from Long An province in early 2024.
Phase 1 of the project, covering 60 hectares and comprising 2,250 land plots, townhouses, villas, and shophouses, has just commenced construction.
Thus, following Vingroup's Hau Nghia new urban area project, this is the next large-scale project in Long An to be started this year. The An Huy urban area is the first key project in the group's southward expansion plan in Long An and the southern region.
Long An is one of the localities adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City that has experienced rapid urban and real estate development, attracting many large investors in recent years.
In 2024, Long An province's economy was worth over 188,000 billion VND, ranking 13th nationwide.
The province has also recently attracted $14.3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), with over 1,500 projects from investors in 40 countries worldwide, making it one of the top 10 localities in the country attracting FDI. Over the past period, Long An has continuously attracted the attention of major real estate developers.
Recently, Vingroup also commenced construction on the Hau Nghia new urban area project in Duc Hoa district with a total investment of approximately 1 billion USD. Previously, the company targeted the Phuoc Vinh Tay new urban area project, with a total investment of over 3 billion USD in Can Giuoc district, and the Tan My urban area in Duc Hoa.
In addition, other major real estate developers such as BIM Group, Phu My Hung, Ecopark, etc., are also researching and investing in resort projects, urban areas, and renewable energy projects in this province.
