Long An maximizes the progress of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project

March 16.3, Reporter Newspaper Youth Field work at the construction site of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project in Ben Luc District (Long An). At the overpass point (belonging to package number 2 - XL2, Tan Buu commune, Ben Luc district), materials, vehicles, and machinery have all been gathered. The contractor divided the construction into 17 phases to speed up progress. However, there are still 4 houses remaining in the construction area.

Mr. Pham Van Dan, Deputy Commander of the construction unit (under Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company) explained that these residential houses have not yet affected the construction progress. Because, the unit is currently drilling bored piles, pouring concrete for the pedestal and abutment body of the highway viaduct and the bridge on the left parallel route. However, to ensure on schedule, the People's Committee of Ben Luc H. (Long An) - the investor of the Land Clearance Subproject (GPMB) must relocate households no later than the end of June 6.2024.

Talk to PV Bao Youth, Mr. Le Thanh Ut, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Luc District (Long An), said that it will be implemented according to Resolution 57 of the National Assembly (Resolution 57/2022/QH15) and a number of solutions of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Long An province. To speed up the progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An province, the People's Committee of Ben Luc H. has cleared the site and basically handed over more than 43 hectares (98,5%) to construction units. Currently, there are still 31/394 households that have not been resettled, so these houses still exist in the project area. 

According to Mr. Ut, the People's Committee of Ben Luc H. is creating maximum conditions for these households to soon stabilize their new homes. In case it is necessary to use the centralized resettlement platform, in June 6.2024, Ben Luc H. will arrange able to understand. However, currently 6/400 households have not agreed to receive compensation due to many reasons and the People's Committee of Ben Luc District is continuing to advocate and resolve the issue.

Mr. Tran Thien Truc, Deputy Director of Long An Department of Transport (investor), informed that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An area is 6,84 km long and belongs to component project 7, 8 (divided into 3 packages XL1, XL2, XL3) with a total investment capital of nearly 4.200 billion VND, starting in June 6.2023. After starting construction, the construction units encountered difficulties with sand sources, leading to slow progress.

By the end of 2023, the shortage of basic sand will be resolved, along with capital being allocated promptly, so contractors will speed up progress to the maximum. Currently, over 25% of the total construction volume has been reached, reaching the approved schedule.

It is expected that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An province will open the highway section in October 10.2025 and be completed in 2026.
