WATCH CLIP:
On the morning of September 13, the Board of Directors of Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School (Phuoc Tan Ward, Dong Nai Province) said that the rising water level of the Buong River caused the entire school yard and many ground floor classrooms to be deeply flooded.

Specifically, to ensure safety and have time to clean the classrooms, the school has temporarily given nearly 1,500 students in grades 7 and 9 a morning off.
Grades 6 and 8 will still have afternoon classes as usual, but the Board of Directors said they will continue to monitor the flood situation to promptly announce early school closures, helping parents and students proactively make arrangements.
It is known that Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School currently has more than 2,700 students studying.

According to the school, last night the Buong River rose, flooding many residential areas and the school yard by nearly 1 meter. By this morning, the water level had gradually receded to about 50cm, causing all classrooms and some functional rooms on the ground floor to be deeply flooded.
Therefore, the Board of Directors has reported to the local authorities and mobilized forces to support the relocation of school equipment and assets to higher ground. In addition, the school also advised parents to closely monitor students to avoid accidents and injuries when floodwaters flow into residential areas.
