Luis Diaz cried despite partying, did not attend Jota's funeral

Luis Diaz was unable to attend Jota's funeral as he was returning to his native Colombia. However, he caused outrage when he attended a party with many celebrities. The Liverpool player was all smiles and even filmed himself dancing with a friend.

Diaz told the Daily Mail : "It's very difficult news, very sad. No one can prepare for something like this. He was a very important friend when I came to Liverpool, his family welcomed me and we built a great friendship. We have a healthy rivalry and that's very important."

Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva died in a traffic accident in northern Spain early on July 3. The Lamborghini Huracan they were traveling in had a tire blowout while overtaking another vehicle, then lost control and went off the road, before bursting into flames.

Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 from Wolves for a transfer fee of more than £40 million and scored 65 goals in 182 matches at Anfield.
