In the post, Tran Thanh stated that when embarking on his filmmaking journey, he knew what he was doing and who his target audience was. By deciding to shift his investment focus to a new field like cinema, Hari Won's husband had a long-term plan, not just a program called "Tran Thanh's annual Lunar New Year film."

The 80s-born male star believes that filmmaking is similar to the work of an Omakase chef. In this case, diners don't know in advance what they will be eating that day. "The only reason they come to the restaurant is their trust in the chef. And his job is to constantly surprise diners with the dishes he creates and serves, without disappointing or letting them down," Tran Thanh shared.
Tran Thanh agrees with the view that "any work needs a sufficiently long time to be conceived and nurtured." Regarding the need to slow down if one wants to go further, Tran Thanh added: "But that story will be about Tran Thanh in the years to come, when energy, creativity, and life experience are more depleted. There will come a day when I will withdraw and only dedicate my time to experiencing and contemplating new worlds so that I don't repeat myself."
Approaching his fortieth birthday, Tran Thanh says he's still full of energy and has many stories he wants to tell his audience. He feels he has a responsibility to maintain the tradition of "watching Tran Thanh's Lunar New Year movies." "They're expecting a lot from me. I can't let them down. But I'm a filmmaker, a 'chef' with self-respect. My principle is that if a dish is bad, I won't serve it to my guests," he shared.

Tran Thanh is a director whose projects consistently achieve impressive box office success.

Tran Thanh acknowledged the suggestion to "slow down to go further." He affirmed that this will be part of his journey in the coming months. "That will happen sooner or later. But before it happens, I would like to continue winning over the author and the audience with the film 'Tho Oi' from 2026," he expressed.
At the end of the post, Tran Thanh affirmed that he would try his best not to disappoint those who have loved and supported him. He added: "I deeply appreciate all the love you have given me. See you at the cinema this Tet holiday."
Tran Thanh when he switched to filmmaking
It's clear that since shifting his focus to film production, Tran Thanh has continuously achieved success, with his film projects becoming box office hits such as "The Godfather," "Mrs. Nu's House," "Mai," and "The Four Conspirators." These works have helped the male artist become a Vietnamese director with billion-dollar revenues. However, along with that success, his projects have also faced considerable controversy on social media.
Previously, when talking about the success of his film projects, Tran Thanh shared: "If the audience no longer waits for Tran Thanh, that's the pressure, but if the audience waits, that's the motivation. For me, the motivation is just to do better, not to do badly. When people still have expectations of me, that's a blessing, a motivation for me to always try my best, not to disappoint the audience who are waiting."
