Visiting the ethnic villages: Mong, Thai, Dao, Lu, Giay… in the area, we saw that life here has changed a lot, there is no longer a gap between ethnic groups. Houses are built spaciously, infrastructure is invested, trade of goods, connection between villages is convenient. The spiritual life of the people is improved, culture and sports are promoted, contributing to connecting ethnic groups.

Improving people's lives is a key task that requires the entire political system to participate. The Party Committee and the communal government send experienced cadres who understand the culture of each ethnic group to the village to propagate, mobilize, and help people change their thinking and production methods. At the same time, coordinate with the district's departments and branches to open vocational training classes, support crops, breeds, and labor tools, so that people have knowledge and know how to apply techniques in practice. For projects and sub-projects, use the allocated capital properly, proactively inspect and supervise, and ensure quality and efficiency. Especially Project 1 and Project 3 under the National Target Program for Economic and Social Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas are always implemented promptly, close to reality, contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture and forestry, and people no longer lack residential land and production land. In addition, the commune calls on organizations and businesses to invest, expand production scale, take advantage of local labor resources, thereby increasing employment and improving income.
The change in awareness as well as the implemented programs and projects have changed the lives of ethnic groups. From only selling their faces to the land and their backs to the sky, doing backward and small-scale agriculture every year, now the fields and fields have expanded in area with quality corn and rice varieties, supported by modern machinery. Thanks to that, the total annual food output reaches over 2,600 tons, ensuring food security.

The advantages of soil and climate are suitable for fruit trees and industrial crops such as pears, pineapples, mangoes, rubber, cassava, etc., contributing to economic development. Rubber plantations located in the area are mostly local workers with salaries ranging from 5 to 7 million VND/person/month. Not only that, livestock farming has developed with many business models in the direction of goods, the number of livestock is constantly increasing, and is less affected by epidemics. Currently, the whole commune has nearly 20,000 cattle and poultry, 20 hectares of aquaculture with a catch of 37 tons/year.
Mr. Sung A Thu (Pa Pao village) said: Previously, the life of the Mong people was very difficult, but since the commune promoted and implemented programs and projects, people have been able to learn trades, access technology, and develop the economy in the direction of commodities. Agricultural products are sold in markets, increasing income, and many skilled people have invested and expanded their models. Thanks to that, life has changed.
Not only promoting production, the commune also consulted with the district People's Committee to open vocational training classes in the village, support job conversion, invest in infrastructure, develop education, and the health system, contributing to improving knowledge and ensuring health for people. In particular, residential land, production land, and domestic water have been resolved promptly with 135 households receiving support from 2021 to present.

Spiritual life has been improved, cultural houses and sports grounds have been invested in and upgraded, creating favorable conditions for meetings, art troupes to practice singing and dancing, and organizing village events. The commune regularly organizes cultural and sports festivals between villages to increase solidarity. In addition, in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the spirit of mutual love and support has been raised, the commune has completed 31 houses, reaching 100% of the plan.
Mr. Phan A Ly - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said: Currently, the average income per capita of the commune reaches 42 million VND, the poverty rate has decreased to 13.25%. With the goal of bringing a prosperous and happy life to the people and when moving to the new administrative unit, the commune will share experiences, learn good and creative ways to apply in practice, contributing to shortening the gap between ethnic groups, gradually bringing the locality to further development.
