Bringing early Tet gifts to the Truong Sa Special Economic Zone.

On the afternoon of January 16th, in Phuoc Thang Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the 129th Naval Squadron organized a delegation aboard ship 638 to visit, present gifts, and extend New Year greetings to officers, soldiers, and people serving and living on the islands with harbors and fishing villages under the Squadron's control in the Truong Sa Special Zone. Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Squadron, led the delegation.

This is an annual activity during the Lunar New Year season, demonstrating concern for the forces serving in the sea and islands of the Fatherland, contributing to giving the military and people of Truong Sa district more motivation to overcome difficulties and challenges, and determined to excellently fulfill the task of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.

According to the plan, the delegation from the Naval Squadron will visit and present gifts to officers, soldiers, and people on the islands of Truong Sa, Sinh Ton, Nui Le, and Toc Tan. In addition to bringing essential items for the Lunar New Year such as sticky rice, banana leaves, mung beans, jam, and confectionery to prepare for the Year of the Horse in the open sea, the delegation also brought over 50 Tet gift packages for officers, soldiers, and people serving and living on the islands, with a total value of over 80 million VND. They also brought 500 saplings and planting materials to contribute to the "Greening Truong Sa" program.

Also on this occasion, the Naval Command organized the replenishment of supplies, goods, and necessities for the harbors and fishing villages, ready to serve fishermen going out to sea to exploit marine resources before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. This ensures that the harbors and fishing villages will always welcome and provide good support to fishermen, even during the Tet holiday.

These days, the sea weather is complicated, with large waves due to the impact of the strengthening cold front, but the officers and soldiers of Ship 638 are determined to uphold a high sense of responsibility and solidarity, overcome difficulties, and transport the working group and deliver Tet gifts, supplies, and goods to the officers, soldiers, and people of the Truong Sa Special Zone according to the plan, ensuring absolute safety.
