Forecasts indicate that on the night of January 20th, a cold front will begin to affect some areas in the Northeast region of Vietnam.
From the night of April 3rd to the early morning of April 4th, due to the influence of a cold front compressing a low-pressure trough, the Northern region experienced rain.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the weak cold air mass in the North is still moving, compressing and pushing the low-pressure trough gradually southward.

From the night of April 3rd to the early morning of April 4th, due to the influence of a cold front compressing a low-pressure trough, the Northern region (except Dien Bien and Lai Chau) experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 10 to 20 mm, and locally heavy rain exceeding 40 mm.

The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, people should be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind; there is also a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.

Specifically for Hanoi on April 4th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the early morning, with some areas experiencing heavy rain; later, there will be light rain in a few places; the lowest temperature will be 22-25 degrees Celsius, the highest 30 degrees Celsius, the weather will be mild and cool before the start of a new heatwave.

Warning: From April 6th, the heatwave is likely to expand to the Northwest region and the Northern Delta. The heatwave in the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai and the Southeast region is also likely to continue for several more days.

The meteorological agency notes that the temperature forecast in heatwave reports and the actual perceived temperature outdoors can differ by 2-4 degrees, or even more, depending on the surface conditions such as concrete or asphalt.
