The "3 Goods" model in Dien Phuong

Việt NamViệt Nam13/12/2024

The Dien Phuong Ward Police deployed officers to patrol and monitor the security and order situation.

Triem Trung 2 is the central block of Dien Phuong ward, with 265 households. In 2018, Triem Trung 2 achieved the standard of a model new rural village. In 2023, Dien Phuong commune was recognized as a ward, and Triem Trung 2 became a block with many multi-story buildings harmoniously situated in a peaceful natural setting.

When the Ward Front launched and implemented the "3 Goods" model, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Front Work Committee of Triem Trung 2 neighborhood coordinated to disseminate information to each household.

Ms. Pham Thi Dong, Head of the Neighborhood Front Committee, recounted, "We went 'from street to street, knocking on every door' to explain to households what constitutes a good environment, good security and order, and a good quality of life for the people. From there, the people understood and joined hands to implement it."

Through social mobilization, the residents of the neighborhood built a welcome gate, and households encouraged each other to plant many shade trees and combine them with planting flowers and ornamental plants in their gardens...

"Regarding security and order, we have the advantage that the veterans' association in our neighborhood regularly maintains the '1+3' model, meaning that each veteran's family helps three neighboring households to ensure that no family members violate the law."

"Then, the ward police force, along with the local security and order protection force, regularly patrol and monitor the area, so the political security and social order are ensured," Ms. Dong said.

Currently, at funerals in Dien Phuong, most families, whether poor or wealthy, invite guests to offer melon seeds, sweets, and cigarettes. This is costly for the family, creates litter and is unsanitary, and smoking in crowded places affects the health of those around. Therefore, a more civilized approach to funerals is needed.

Based on practical experience, on October 11, 2024, the Ward Front launched the model "No use of sunflower seeds, sweets, or cigarettes at funerals." At the launch event, 10 representatives from 10 neighborhoods expressed their support and commitment to implementing the model.

Mr. Duong Phu Man, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Phuong Ward, believes that if all funerals in the ward are organized solemnly and economically, demonstrating noble gestures, it will increase reverence and respect for the deceased and contribute to sharing responsibility for the community, aiming towards building a civilized urban lifestyle.

"The ward's Fatherland Front promotes democracy, self-governance, and community responsibility among the people through organizing forums and seminars where people can contribute ideas and find specific, practical solutions to effectively implement the '3 Good' model in the locality," Mr. Man added.

Mr. Dang Huu Tu, Secretary of the Dien Phuong Ward Party Committee, affirmed that the "3 Goods" model in the 10 residential blocks has proven effective in improving the lives of people in the community. Residents enthusiastically participate with a high sense of responsibility, and the urban landscape of the locality has been significantly improved.
