8 Future Nighttime Economy Models in Da Lat
Accordingly, in addition to proposing the implementation of pilot models for developing the night-time economy in the 2022-2023 period (such as the musical fountain park model, the food street model, the night street model, etc.) and the 2024-2030 period (such as the pedestrian street model, the night market model, etc.), the Da Lat City People's Committee proposes developing eight night-time economic models in the future.
A nighttime entertainment area will be located in the basement of the Da Lat Golf Course - on Tran Quoc Toan Street. This area will serve as a nighttime entertainment model at the Da Lat Golf Course (basement adjacent to the pedestrian zone) with a complex of entertainment options such as bars, restaurants, cinemas, and game centers. This model will supplement the pedestrian zone, which temporarily closes during rainy or stormy days. The government provides investment approval, while the investor implements the project according to the approved plan and design.
Street art will be a beautiful highlight for the streets of Da Lat at night.
The Hoa Binh Central area (Ward 1, Ward 2, Da Lat City) will develop into a multi-functional complex with various modern services and entertainment options for residents and tourists . This area will attract investment and encourage and facilitate the development of establishments offering nighttime entertainment and recreation services.
Tran Quoc Toan Park (Ward 10, Da Lat City) will be open for investment to develop a landscaped park combined with a large-scale, modern entertainment and recreation model.
The Lu Gia residential area (Ward 9, Da Lat City) will be open for investment. The Lu Gia residential area (Sedimentation Pond No. 1) will be combined with a pedestrian street and night market in the area north of Xuan Huong Lake, covering an area of 25.1 hectares. The aim is to create a model street with synchronized amenities, social infrastructure, architectural infrastructure, and tourism potential…
The Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area (Ward 3, Ward 4, Da Lat City) will call for investment and encourage existing facilities to invest in nighttime entertainment services. This area will develop a complex of nighttime entertainment models, including new models such as casinos, gambling services, and novel forms of nighttime entertainment to fully utilize the potential of the tourist area.
The Prenn Lake tourist area (Ward 3, Ward 10, Da Lat City) will seek investment to develop a complex of accommodation and tourism models combined with nighttime entertainment activities.
The new Cam Ly residential area (Ward 5, Da Lat City) will form a complex of high-end residential areas, tourism services, and nighttime entertainment activities through attracting investment.
Pedestrian street, a highlight of Da Lat's nightlife.
The pedestrian street is located on Tran Quoc Toan road (the section from the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang and Tran Quoc Toan to the City Flower Garden) with a length of approximately 1,600m.
Accordingly, a pedestrian zone will be formed with various types of artistic performances: attracting music groups, street dances, artistic roller skating, painting and photography, handicrafts, and folk art.
The unique street food enjoyed on a chilly night will leave visitors with unforgettable memories of Da Lat.
The shopping area features beautifully decorated train carriages, arranged in a winding pattern along the route, harmonizing with the surrounding landscape; it also includes stalls selling light food (fast food, grilled dishes, hot drinks), agricultural products, and local specialties.
Activities include sightseeing on the lake, transporting visitors by beautifully decorated boats from Lam Vien Square to the pedestrian zone (from the Y-shaped bridge opposite Lam Vien Square, the Y-shaped bridge opposite the Trade Union Hotel to the Y-shaped bridges in the pedestrian zone).
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Da Lat City People's Committee to develop a plan for expanding the road (the section from the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang and Tran Quoc Toan streets to the City Flower Garden) and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval of the policy and allocation of funds for implementation. After the road expansion policy is approved, the Da Lat City People's Committee will develop the project, submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, and organize construction to complete the project.
Develop a bidding plan in the form of leasing land and water surface on an annual payment basis and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval in order to proceed with attracting investment.
The organization solicits investment and conducts a bidding process to select investors. The winning investor develops a plan and design, submits it to the competent authorities for approval, and then constructs the model and organizes operations according to the approved plan and design. After operation begins, the organization evaluates the results, learns from experience, and refines the model.
