Voluntary blood donation has long been a movement with profound humanitarian significance. A single unit of donated blood can save the lives of many patients in need of transfusions, from victims of traffic accidents and those suffering from serious illnesses to women experiencing difficult childbirth or patients requiring long-term treatment. Because of its significance, participating in blood donation is not only a voluntary act but also a social responsibility, reflecting the Vietnamese tradition of "loving others as oneself."

In the province, the voluntary blood donation movement is receiving increasingly positive support from the people. Many individuals have consistently participated in blood donation over the years and have become exemplary role models in community mobilization efforts.
Mr. Vo Van Ut, residing in Noi O Hamlet, Hong Dan Commune, has been involved in the voluntary blood donation movement for over 30 years. Each year, Mr. Ut participates in blood donation 1-2 times. Not only does he donate blood himself, but he also regularly promotes and encourages his relatives and local people to participate in helping patients.
“ Donating blood is about saving lives, that’s why I always register to participate in blood donation drives. I just hope to have good health so I can donate blood for a long time. Moreover, more and more people think like me; the more people there are, the stronger the community becomes, so that many drops of blood donated will save many lives for their children and families,” Mr. Vo Van Ut expressed .
Sharing the same spirit, Mr. Phan Van Huan, from Cai Giang hamlet, Hong Dan commune, has voluntarily donated blood 33 times. "Besides donating blood myself, I also regularly follow the schedule of blood donation drives, share information, and encourage family members, friends, and neighbors to participate, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion in the community," Mr. Huan shared.

The exemplary actions of individuals like Mr. Vo Van Ut, Mr. Phan Van Huan, and many others have further spread the voluntary blood donation movement. Through these simple yet meaningful acts, many people have become aware of the importance of blood reserves in medical examination and treatment, and are willing to donate blood when eligible.
Let's work together to ensure a sufficient blood supply to save lives.
According to reports from medical facilities, the blood supply for emergency and treatment purposes is facing a potential shortage. While the demand for blood transfusions for surgeries, emergencies, treatment of critical illnesses, and cases requiring specialized medical intervention is increasing, maintaining a stable blood reserve is a critical requirement.
In light of this situation, Party committees, government agencies, and mass organizations in the province continue to promote propaganda and mobilization efforts to raise public awareness of the meaning and importance of voluntary blood donation, while encouraging all segments of the population to actively participate and contribute to meeting the blood needs for medical examination and treatment.
Blood donation is a beautiful act of kindness. Each unit of blood donated not only contributes to saving the lives of patients but also spreads a message of love and sharing.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once advised: "Every good person, every good deed is a beautiful flower." Voluntary blood donation is one of the noblest acts, demonstrating the spirit of mutual support and the responsibility of each individual towards society. Each unit of blood donated not only contributes to saving the lives of patients but also spreads a message of love, sharing, and compassion in the community.
Local authorities call upon all officials, civil servants, employees, union members, association members, armed forces personnel, and citizens who meet the health requirements to actively participate in voluntary blood donation with a spirit of self-awareness and high responsibility. At the same time, relevant sectors and organizations should continue to innovate the content and form of propaganda to ensure that the voluntary blood donation movement spreads widely and becomes a regular activity in the community.
Therefore, every citizen who is in good health should actively participate in voluntary blood donation , so that each drop of blood donated becomes a chance of life, contributing to the cultivation of good humanitarian values and building an increasingly compassionate and benevolent community.
