A public university plans to charge tuition fees of VND16.9 million for the 2025-2026 academic year. This tuition fee will apply to students admitted to the class of 2025.

In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture plans to enroll about 1,000 students for full-time university programs, with 14 majors in the fields of culture, arts, information and tourism .

The school will recruit students in 4 ways: based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; high school transcript scores; combining high school graduation exam scores and aptitude test scores, combining academic transcripts and aptitude test scores.

The school also sets out additional criteria in case candidates have the same score. For candidates with the same rank of wishes for the same major or major with the same total score, the school gives priority to candidates with higher scores in the literature exam (for admission combinations with literature); higher scores in math (for admission combinations with math); higher scores in literature, then higher scores in math (for admission combinations with both literature and math).

Regarding more information about tuition fees applicable for the 2025-2026 school year, Master Tung said that the school's tuition fees are built according to the framework of Decree 81 and Decree 97 of the Government . Accordingly, the school's average tuition fee is 16.9 million VND/year (equivalent to 516,000 VND/credit).

What are the scoring criteria for the art aptitude test?

Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture organizes an art aptitude test for admission along with cultural subjects according to the school's admission methods in 4 groups: R01, R02, R03, R04.

The official exam time is from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm on July 11. The time for submitting application is from May 1 to June 24. The exam time is no more than 10 minutes/subject/candidate. Candidates must wear polite clothes, suitable for the performance.

In the Artistic Aptitude Test 1, the test tests artistic performance ability. Candidates choose and express their artistic talent through one of the following forms: singing, performing musical instruments, dancing, acting, or giving presentations. Candidates can compose or use works of art licensed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. The submitted works must have pure, wholesome content, in accordance with Vietnamese customs and traditions.

The criteria and scoring scale for this test include: 5 points for performance form, 3 points for performance content, 1 point for appearance, and 1 point for ensuring compliance with the specified time.

In the Art Aptitude Test 2, candidates are tested on their understanding of art. Candidates draw lots and answer questions directly according to the test requirements. The test content tests the ability to assess situations in cultural and artistic activities.

The criteria and scoring scale for this test are: 5 points for practical situation assessment, 3 points for theoretical knowledge, 1 point for cultural behavior and 1 point for ensuring compliance with the specified time.
