Garnacho or Sancho could stay at Old Trafford. |
Manager Ruben Amorim confirmed that the future of the group of players who are not in the Manchester United plan is not yet completely closed. The Portuguese coach frankly said: "It is clear that they want to play football at another club, and we also have to find a solution that satisfies both sides. But when the market closes, if they are still here, the club will take them back. At that time, all possibilities can happen."
Among the names being mentioned, Roma have expressed interest in Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia but have not yet reached an agreement. Alejandro Garnacho is waiting for a signal from Chelsea, while Antony hopes to reunite with Real Betis.
However, up to this point, MU has not received any convincing offers. Notably, Garnacho was "taunted" by Amorim at the end of last season when he was advised to "pray to find a new team". However, in case there is no change, the young Argentine striker can completely return to the "Red Devils" shirt as early as September.
In parallel with dealing with the “slow-motion bomb group”, MU is still active in the transfer market. The Old Trafford team spent nearly 200 million pounds to bring in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbuemo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon. In addition, a new goalkeeper and a new midfielder are also in the plan to strengthen the force.
Amorim stressed that the departure or stay of the group of players outside the plan will not affect the shopping policy: "We do not wait for someone to sell before bringing in another player. The club will continue to shop, regardless of whether they leave or not."
Manchester United is therefore still in the process of drastic "blood change", at the same time leaving the door open for players who were thought to have been discarded.
