The Thanh Ha Pottery Ancestor Commemoration Festival is a traditional festival held annually on the 9th and 10th days of the 7th lunar month. It aims to honor the contributions of the ancestors who established the pottery craft, and to educate the younger generation about their origins, history, and the importance of preserving the traditional craft.

Thanh Ha pottery village, located about 2km west of Hoi An ancient town center, attracts a large number of tourists.
This year, the festival will take place over two days, August 31st – September 1st, with 4 ceremonial activities and 12 festive activities.
The highlight is the Opening Ceremony, which will take place at 8:00 AM on August 31st at the intersection of Duy Tan and Pham Phan streets, Thanh Ha pottery village.
Prior to the Opening Ceremony, there will be an inauguration and plaque unveiling ceremony for the "Ceramic Road" project – a project celebrating the successful conclusion of the Hoi An Tay Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, located on Nguyen Khuyen Street.

To this day, Thanh Ha pottery village still maintains its traditional handcrafted production methods.
The procession carrying the palanquin of the patron saint of pottery from the Lum Ba Dang shrine area – Thanh Chiem block to the Nam Dieu shrine area took place from 6:00 AM on September 1st.
Following the palanquin procession is the main sacrificial ceremony at the Nam Dieu Ancestral Temple, conducted according to ancient traditions.

In addition, on this occasion, Thanh Ha pottery village also organized a "Product Connection Space" - showcasing pottery products, pottery-making experiences, and OCOP products; a pottery crafting competition; a reading space; a painting competition and a creative camp "Colors of Childhood"; folk games; a culinary space "Flavors of Hoi An West"; traditional folk singing; a street festival; a clay pot rice cooking competition; a chess exchange; and a boat race...
Thanh Ha pottery village, one of the oldest pottery villages in Vietnam with a history of over 500 years, is located right on the banks of the Thu Bon River, about 2km west of the center of Hoi An ancient town, now belonging to Hoi An Tay ward, Da Nang city.
To this day, Thanh Ha pottery village still maintains its unique, handcrafted production method: shaping by hand or on a foot-operated potter's wheel, without molds, without glazing, and firing in traditional wood-fired kilns.
In 2019, Thanh Ha pottery was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage.
