Neymar injured again

Neymar continues to suffer injuries while playing for Santos, just days before Brazil announces their squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

According to GE Globo , the 33-year-old striker suffered pain and swelling in his thigh before Santos' away match at Bahia Stadium in the Brazilian Serie A early on August 25 ( Hanoi time). The club reported the situation to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), but there has been no official confirmation.

If he continues to miss the match, this will be another shock in Neymar's gloomy days. Just last week, he burst into tears after Santos' disastrous 0-6 defeat to Vasco da Gama, at the same time coach Cleber Xavier had to leave the hot seat.

Neymar has never played for Brazil under new coach Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian strategist immediately left him out of the first squad in May because of his poor physical condition.
