The waves rose abnormally high, from 4.0 to 6.0 meters high, continuously hitting the shore with terrible force. Many large waves surpassed the breakwater, carrying large amounts of salt water and sand into the inner-city roads.

Binh Minh Road, which is the main tourist route along Cua Lo beach, has been partially flooded in many sections. Rising sea levels combined with strong winds have submerged the road, causing traffic jams and endangering people and vehicles.

This is one of the areas warned to be at high risk of flooding due to the impact of storms.

Not only the coastal roads, some other main roads such as Nguyen Xi Street also recorded localized flooding. Local authorities have advised people to minimize going out to ensure safety.

Strong coastal winds were recorded at level 9-10, gusting to level 13-14, knocking down many trees and blowing off the roofs of some temporary structures.

Currently, storm No. 5 is still moving towards the mainland. It is forecasted that tonight and tonight, heavy rain, strong winds and flooding in Cua Lo as well as other coastal areas of Nghe An will continue to be complicated.
