World pepper prices today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,004 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,657 USD/ton.
Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper price was at USD 6,250/ton (up 1.2%). Malaysian ASTA black pepper price was at USD 9,000/ton; the price of ASTA white pepper of this country reached USD 12,000/ton.
Today, Vietnam black pepper price is traded at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,700 USD/ton; white pepper price at 9,250 USD/ton.
According to preliminary data from VPSA, in the first half of November 2025, Vietnam exported 8,244 tons of pepper, reaching 52.6 million USD. Large enterprises such as Simexco Dak Lak, Olam, and Haprosimex JSC played a key role in export activities during this period.
Previously, pepper export turnover set a record in the first 10 months of 2025, reaching 1.4 billion USD. This figure not only surpassed the total turnover in 2024 but also nearly reached the record level of 2016, demonstrating a strong recovery. The United States remains Vietnam's largest pepper import market.
VPSA recommends that businesses focus on traceability and strictly comply with rules of origin. This is necessary to ensure sustainability, especially when technical barriers and policies of major importing countries are strongly affecting the market.
Regarding the outlook, VPSA forecasts that import prices and demand will continue to increase from now until the end of 2025 due to balanced supply and demand. However, pepper prices may face downward pressure in 2026 when production recovers. The association recommends that businesses proactively manage their inventory and supply to take advantage of increased demand at the end of the year.
