During the 2026 summer tourist season, Da Nang city will attract visitors not only with its blue sea and white sand beaches, but also with its vibrant energy from a series of colorful events and activities, each offering an experience that touches the emotions.

Statistics from the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center show that in the first three months of 2026, keywords related to events and experiential activities were the most searched by tourists preparing for their trip to the city. Among these, elements that are "tangible" – hands-on experiences and direct emotions – are increasingly dominant.

A series of world-class international events

Activated by the series of festivals celebrating the April 30th and May 1st holidays, Da Nang will continue to be vibrant throughout the summer months with annual "key" events such as the Sea Festival, the Fireworks Festival, and the IRONMAN race. Even more notably, many international-scale events appearing for the first time promise to bring about an explosive tourism season.

This year, the 10th edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang race recorded a record high number of registrations with over 3,100 athletes from 90 countries, demonstrating the growing appeal of the event. Notably, the IRONMAN 70.3 will take place concurrently with the IRONMAN full distance race (hosted by Vietnam for the first time). This dual sporting event is expected to bring a large number of tourists to the city in May.

According to the tournament organizers, athletes are increasingly proactively registering for competitions early, while also preparing schedules that combine recreation and local exploration. The event week is thus being shaped as a comprehensive experience, encompassing sports, tourism, relaxation, and entertainment.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026 (from May 30th to July 11th), themed “Da Nang - Connecting Horizons,” brings together leading fireworks teams from around the world to create the most dazzling and magical moments of the summer. This year, the city's tourism industry, in collaboration with Sun Group, is introducing a seamless fireworks experience: from specially designed flights to the spectacular night festival and satellite events, all connected within an ecosystem to provide a complete and visually stunning experience for visitors.

The Da Nang Food Tour 2026 (May 20-25) will be held simultaneously at the East Sea Park, Tam Thanh Beach Square, and various wards throughout the city. Some notable new activities include a parade of "food stalls" vividly recreating street food culture, and a food tour program connecting various destinations.

Another highlight this year is the Danang Summer Fest, taking place in July, with a strong focus on music, entertainment, and interactive activities. Four music stages will be operating continuously, offering a diverse range of performances including live music, dance, art shows, and many other unique activities, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere throughout the city.

Invest in multi-generational experiences.

Data from travel agencies reveals a clear trend: summer 2026 tourists prioritize high-quality family tours that combine relaxation, cultural experiences, and multi-generational interaction. Responding to this demand, many new recreational activities have been introduced at tourist destinations and resorts throughout the city, enriching the choices available to visitors.

At Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Ba Na Sun Fest 2026 will run throughout the summer (from April 10th to August 31st). Interactive light shows, street parades, contemporary dance performances, and mini-shows will take place continuously. Along with that, there will be spaces for food and craft beer, and engaging interactive games for the whole family.

Than Tai Hot Spring Park introduces two special summer entertainment programs: Animal Actors Show (April 25th to September 2nd) and Dinosaur Kingdom (June 5th to August 30th). A representative from the resort's media team stated that these activities aim to enhance artistic performances for visitors during peak season, diversify tourism products, and increase experiences; while also providing attractive entertainment and educational playgrounds for children, combining play and learning.

Furama Resort Danang offers a diverse and energetic schedule of activities for guests, including outdoor sports and exercise in a lush green setting; water volleyball classes, kayaking, surfing, craft workshops such as lantern making and coconut coffee brewing, and cooking classes led by a Co Tu chef.
