In Dong Nai , unseasonal rains starting in the early morning of February 26th have caused concern among many farmers as they could affect this year's crop yield. According to some farm owners in the Long Khanh area, which has about 5,000 hectares of durian trees, the trees are currently in the pollination stage; if heavy rain continues, it will lead to flower drop or difficulty in fruit setting. Similarly, many coffee growers are worried that as the trees are in the flower bud differentiation stage, unseasonal rains will cause uneven flowering, with flowers blooming profusely after the rain and then dropping or failing to set fruit.
