Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of Long Son Commune People's Committee Nguyen Trong Thuy said that after officially coming into operation from July 1, the commune has basically completed its organizational structure, established specialized departments, operated the Public Administration Service Center, ensuring smooth service to the people.
From July 1 to 16, the Center received 225 applications and processed 100% of them on time. The information technology system was initially invested in, the network connection was stable, and staff were equipped with computers and official digital signatures.

However, Long Son commune still faces some difficulties, such as limitations in telecommunications infrastructure (BTS 3G/4G), slow speed of civil registration software, lack of public administrative equipment, especially tools for satisfaction assessment and planning lookup. Accounting, land and planning work also have many shortcomings due to the lack of specific instructions for the new organizational model.
The People's Committee of Long Son commune proposed that the city soon issue guidelines on financial, accounting, planning and land mechanisms; at the same time, propose investing in telecommunications infrastructure, increasing training and promoting comprehensive digital transformation.

In his speech, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh highly appreciated the efforts of the Long Son commune government in operating smoothly and effectively right after its establishment. He suggested continuing to focus on the work of arranging and perfecting personnel in accordance with regulations, promoting the professionalism and responsibility of the staff and civil servants.
Regarding the activities of the Commune People's Council, he noted the need to closely follow the grassroots, strengthen supervision, and effectively coordinate with the People's Committee at the same level. He also emphasized the task of taking care of social security, first of all, carefully organizing activities to honor people with meritorious services on the occasion of July 27.
In particular, Long Son commune needs to prepare well for the upcoming Party Congress, determine a clear development vision, take advantage of land funds and strategic location, and build breakthrough goals to turn Long Son into a dynamic development area, effectively connecting with the city center.

After working with Long Son commune, the delegation visited and presented gifts to two war invalids, Mr. Tran Van Khuyen (born in 1942) and Mr. Kieu Van Duyen (born in 1955) in village 3, Long Son commune.
