Flood warning on La Nga River and Dong Nai River

On the afternoon of December 4, Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station informed that the water level on La Nga River and rivers and streams in the downstream of Dong Nai River system is quite high, with the risk of flooding low-lying areas.

Accordingly, the water level on La Nga River is rising quite rapidly, at Phu Hiep station, the water level is approximately at alarm level 1 (104.5m). The water level in the downstream of Dong Nai River is rising according to the high tide of the 15th day of the 10th lunar month, at Bien Hoa station, the peak water level is rising, reaching between alarm level 1 (1.8m) and alarm level 2 (2m).

Areas at risk of flooding on La Nga River, from upstream to the communes of Phu Lam, Tan Phu, Phu Hoa, Dinh Quan in Dong Nai province; low-lying areas along the river in the downstream of Dong Nai River, in the wards and communes of Tri An, Tan An, Trang Dai, Tan Trieu, Bien Hoa, Tran Bien, Tam Hiep, Nhon Trach, Dai Phuoc, Phuoc An and neighboring areas.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the water level at Phu Hiep station will continue to rise, at the level between alarm level 1 and 2. In the next 5 days, at Bien Hoa station, the peak tide level will continue to rise, the peak tide is likely to reach 1.95-2.05m, approximately alarm level 2 (2m). During the days of December 5 to 7 (October 16 to 18 of the lunar calendar, the peak tide will appear from 4-6am and from 5-7pm), then gradually decrease.

Flood warning level is at level 1 on La Nga river, level 2 on Dong Nai river, downstream.
