Attending the signing ceremony were leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the commune; representatives of specialized departments of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment and enterprises and cooperatives participating in the signing.

Currently, Binh Lu commune has 106 hectares of cassava, with an output of over 6,300 tons/year. In the area, there are 10 milling facilities, 3 cooperatives and about 70 households producing cassava vermicelli in the craft villages of Km2, Tong Pan, Hoa Van, and Thong Nhat, with a total output of about 1,200 tons of vermicelli/year.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the entire Lai Chau province is entering the cassava harvest season with nearly 3,000 hectares, with an estimated output of 100,500 tons. Currently, only about 34,200 tons have been consumed, with more than 42,500 tons needing output support. Faced with this reality, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Viettel Post Lai Chau and Co Ba Hong Cooperative (Tan Phong Ward, Lai Chau Province) to deploy consumption connections, inviting Mien Viet Cuong Cooperative (Dong Hy Commune, Thai Nguyen Province) to survey and participate in signing.

At the program, representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Binh Lu commune requested purchasing units to comply with the principles: Public and transparent quality standards, output and purchasing prices; not to let price gouging happen; guide people and production facilities to apply safe planting and processing processes, build standard raw material areas; support origin traceability stamps, packaging and improve product quality; increase promotion, trade promotion, bring products to supermarkets, distribution systems and e-commerce platforms.

Co Ba Hong Cooperative signed a contract to consume 100 tons of cellophane noodles with Vung Tam Cellophane Noodle Cooperative.

The signing ceremony included 4 important contents: Co Ba Hong Cooperative signed a contract to consume 100 tons of arrowroot vermicelli with Vung Tam Arrowroot Vermicelli Cooperative (Binh Lu commune); Viet Cuong Vermicelli Cooperative signed a contract to purchase 100 tons of arrowroot powder with Vung Tam Arrowroot Vermicelli Cooperative; Co Ba Hong Cooperative signed a comprehensive strategic contract with Viettel Post on communication, promotion and consumption of Lai Chau agricultural products; the parties agreed on long-term cooperation in developing the market for arrowroot products.

Viet Cuong Mien Cooperative signed a contract to purchase 100 tons of arrowroot powder from processing facilities in Binh Lu.

Before the signing ceremony, delegates and representatives of enterprises and cooperatives surveyed the raw material area and visited vermicelli processing facilities in Binh Lu to grasp the actual production and consumption needs.

Delegates visited the cellophane noodle production facility of Vung Tam Cellophane Noodle Cooperative in Tong Pan village (Binh Lu commune).

The signing ceremony is expected to create a breakthrough in expanding the output of Binh Lu cassava products, contributing to increasing people's income and promoting the development of local traditional craft villages.
