In the context of an increasingly developing society, the school environment has more and more impacts, which means that students have to face many challenges such as: Study pressure, stress from exams, the complexity of balancing between study and life... Therefore, happy education has become an inevitable trend. And, the movement to build "Happy School" at Chu Van An High School has initially achieved positive results.
Extracurricular activities are one of the contents for teachers and students to build a happy school. In this class, students can freely participate in activities: performing arts, reading books, dancing or practicing traditional martial arts. These activities will bring a sense of comfort, reduce stress and anxiety for students. Thereby, helping to educate students about ethics and personality, contributing to the comprehensive development of physical, mental and life skills, helping students absorb lessons better.
Duc Phuong Linh (11B1 student, Chu Van An High School) shared: "We study in a very comfortable environment, with the love of teachers and the care of friends. Many activities organized at school have helped us understand each other better and have a better learning spirit."

In the 2025-2026 school year, Chu Van An High School has 21 classes with 1,079 students; 56 staff, teachers, and employees; 100% of staff and teachers meet or exceed standards. Determining the goal of the happy school model is to build a school where "every day at school is a happy day", where teachers are professionally developed, students are respected, and parents are shared, so this content was deployed by the School Board to all staff, teachers, and students right from the beginning of the school year.
Experiential activities, combining learning with playing, playing with learning are emphasized, creating a big change in the classrooms. Besides the excitement and enthusiasm in each lesson, relaxing corners right in the school such as: friendly library, book cafe... have also become connecting spaces to help teachers, students and colleagues get closer and understand each other better. In addition, the school is currently implementing a number of new educational models: making English a "second language" in school; organizing English festivals; Literature Lovers Club, STEM, Book Club and enhancing soft skills. This is an important step in putting the philosophy of "learning to be happy" into practice.
Teacher Tran Thi Thanh Van (Chu Van An High School) shared: "What makes us happy is working in a friendly environment, with care, sharing, and listening from colleagues. That is the motivation for us to transmit positive energy to our students. Not only do we focus on helping students improve their knowledge, we also educate them to love, care, help each other, and encourage each other in all circumstances."
Along with that, the school also focuses on building a green - clean - beautiful landscape, planting flowers and ornamental plants, decorating cozy classroom spaces, creating a friendly environment so that students feel excited every time they come to school.

These movement activities help promote students' sense of responsibility and will to overcome difficulties, and improve the professional qualifications of school staff and teachers. Thanks to that, the school's comprehensive education quality has been significantly improved. In the 2024-2025 school year, the percentage of students with good and fair conduct at the school reached over 98%; the university entrance rate has increased steadily over the years, in which many students were valedictorians of universities.
Ms. Tran Thi Phuoc Thuy - Vice Principal of Chu Van An High School said: "Over the years, the school has raised awareness of the entire team of managers, teachers, students, and parents in creating a healthy, humane, and developing learning and educational environment. Based on the three core criteria chosen by the Ministry of Education and Training (safety, love, and respect), the school has set goals that are suitable for teachers, students, and practical conditions. To build a school that is truly a second home for students, teachers are not simply teachers, knowledge transmitters, but must accompany and share with students, understand their family circumstances, and know their strengths and weaknesses. The school must be an environment that helps students develop and progress, without causing pressure, and always listen to help them grow up."

The "Happy School" model helps students love and share.
The construction of the "Happy School" model at Chu Van High School has practical significance, the relationship between teachers and students, between school and family becomes closer, understanding and sharing, thereby helping the school to comprehensively educate students about personality, knowledge and skills. This is the solid foundation to improve the quality of sustainable education, not only teaching but also truly "cultivating people".
