Dao San is a border commune with complex terrain and many difficulties in people's lives... which directly affects the work of maintaining student numbers and improving the quality of education . However, with the attention of local authorities and the determination of staff and teachers, Dao San Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities has gradually overcome difficulties, creating a stable learning environment for students.

Thanks to the implementation of many synchronous solutions, the quality of education at Dao Sao Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities is improving day by day.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the work of mobilizing and maintaining student numbers achieved many positive results. The rate of mobilizing students to attend class reached 95.1%, the attendance rate reached 96.1%, especially there were no dropouts. These are very remarkable numbers for a border school, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of coordination between the school, family and local authorities.

In addition, thanks to the efforts of the staff and teachers to innovate teaching methods in the direction of putting students at the center, using active methods to maximize the students' abilities; increasing tutoring for weak students, focusing on educating students in discipline and life skills... last school year, the school maintained a stable level of educational quality. The rate of students with good and excellent academic performance reached 55.9%; students who did not achieve the standard was only 1.3%. In terms of conduct, more than 98% of students were classified as good and fair.

In addition to focusing on improving the quality of the general education, key education is a highlight of Dao San Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities in the past school year. With the dedication and efforts of the teaching staff in discovering, training and developing students' abilities, the school has achieved high results in excellent student competitions at all levels: 10/10 students participating in the district-level competition (old) won prizes (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 1 consolation prize). At the provincial level, all 5/5 students participating in the competition won prizes (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 1 third prize and 1 consolation prize).

Entering the new school year, Dao San Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities has 17 classes with 735 students (an increase of 1 class compared to the previous school year). Admissions at the beginning of the school year were high (233/234 students enrolled, reaching 99.5% of the plan).

To effectively carry out the tasks of the school year, the school continues to implement key solutions in innovating teaching and learning methods. The school promotes the application of information technology, innovates teaching methods towards promoting students' initiative; strengthens management and professional activities. Class observation and internal inspection activities are carried out regularly. Professional activities based on lesson research are maintained, creating conditions for teachers to exchange experiences and improve their skills. In particular, the theme of the school year "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development" is specified in each professional activity, contributing to improving teaching effectiveness. In addition, the school focuses on nurturing excellent students in each subject, strengthening tutoring for weak students to ensure that all students have the opportunity to progress. With the characteristics of a boarding school, the school continues to focus on nurturing, ensuring food safety, school security, creating favorable conditions for students to study with peace of mind. Besides, the school pays attention to supporting and encouraging the teaching staff so that they can work with peace of mind and stick with the difficult areas.

Dao San Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities sets key goals for the 2025-2026 school year focusing on improving the quality of comprehensive education and creating clear changes in each aspect of work. Specifically: The rate of good and excellent students is 60% or higher; the attendance rate is over 94%; 100% of grade 9 students are eligible for secondary school graduation; maintain and continue to improve the achievements of excellent students at the provincial level.

The results achieved and the solutions being implemented show that Dao San Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities is on the right track in its efforts to improve the quality of education in the border area. With the consensus of the staff, teachers and the attention of authorities at all levels, we believe that the school will continue to make steady progress, contributing to building quality human resources for the locality.
