A new spring, new hopes.

QTO - Formed by the merger of four communes: Tan Thuy, Thai Thuy, Duong Thuy, and My Thuy (formerly Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province), Tan My commune entered 2025 facing numerous challenges. However, it was precisely in this context that the local Party committee, government, and people created a remarkable first year: the administrative apparatus quickly stabilized, socio-economic growth was balanced, and national defense and security were maintained. These results form the foundation for Tan My to enter the new year with a proactive, confident, and hopeful attitude.

Outstanding results

According to Vo Thi Thanh Thuy, Secretary of the Tan My Commune Party Committee: In 2025, the commune's Party Committee will focus on consolidating its organization and streamlining its apparatus after the merger. The first Party Congress of the commune, for the 2025-2030 term, was successfully held, clearly identifying three breakthroughs and creating a guiding principle for the new phase. The political system has been streamlined for efficiency; the 46 subordinate Party branches are gradually stabilizing, and the quality of their activities has significantly improved. Mass mobilization work and the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations have been strengthened, creating high consensus among the people. Community-oriented activities such as supporting people affected by natural disasters and organizing the "National Unity Day" contribute to strengthening community bonds and consolidating national unity.

In the socio-economic field, all 10 key indicators met or exceeded the plan. Total food production reached 10,874 tons; the value of industrial, handicraft and construction production increased by 8%; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 8.5%. Average per capita income reached 67.2 million VND/year.

In particular, local budget revenue reached 16.927 billion VND, exceeding the set plan by more than three times. The New Rural Development Program continued to create positive changes. The entire commune achieved 16 out of 19 criteria; there are 8 model household gardens, and 6 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher. The "New Rural Development Day," associated with waste collection on the last Sunday of each month, is regularly maintained, contributing to raising community awareness and improving the appearance of the rural area.

The socio-cultural sector has many bright spots. 11 out of 12 schools in the commune have achieved national standards level 1, and one school has achieved level 2; the poverty rate has decreased to 2%. Emphasis has been placed on job creation, labor export, and vocational training. The commune's one-stop service center operates effectively, consistently maintaining a score above 90 on the National Public Service Portal, achieving an excellent rating. National defense and security remain stable. The commune's police force has excellently fulfilled its duties and received a commendation flag from the Ministry of Public Security ; the nationwide movement to protect national security has spread widely. The 2026 military recruitment process was implemented rigorously, ensuring the target was met.

“2025 is the first year after the merger, with a large workload, but the entire Party Committee has demonstrated high unity and consensus in leadership and guidance. The results achieved reflect the sense of responsibility and consensus of cadres, Party members, and the people. This is an important foundation for the commune to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term,” emphasized Vo Thi Thanh Thuy, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.

Despite positive results, Tan My still faces many challenges: its economy is largely dependent on agriculture, its industrial scale is still small; investment attraction is limited; and natural disasters and epidemics are unpredictable. These shortcomings necessitate a more decisive and coordinated approach to thinking and action in the coming year. The primary focus should be on further enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; building a team of cadres with sufficient dedication and competence, who dare to think and act. The commune will promote digital transformation in management and administration; improve the quality of Party branch activities, strengthen inspection and supervision, and maintain strict discipline and order.

In the economic field, Tan My continues to restructure agricultural production towards sustainability, expanding models of applying science and technology; developing livestock farming in a biosafety-oriented direction, forestry associated with forest protection and reforestation; and aquaculture focusing on quality and long-term resource protection.

In addition, the commune encourages the restoration and expansion of production facilities, the development of small-scale industries and services; and leverages resources to invest in infrastructure and serve the people's needs. Land, resource, and environmental management continues to be tightened, addressing existing issues decisively and preventing new violations. The government proactively resolves obstacles in land clearance, creating clean land funds for development.

One of the overarching tasks for 2026 is administrative reform and digital transformation. The commune will continue to review and simplify procedures, improve the quality of online public services, and use citizen satisfaction as a measure of effectiveness. The one-stop service center will maintain discipline, a standard service attitude, and handle work quickly, efficiently, and transparently.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Nguyen Van Vuong commune affirmed: "We have set the goal for 2026 as sustainable growth, improving the income and quality of life of the people. Along with that, the commune will continue to ensure national defense and security, maintain political stability and social order; improve the quality of comprehensive education, ensure social welfare, and achieve sustainable poverty reduction; and effectively handle citizen complaints and denunciations at the grassroots level, preventing the emergence of hotspots."

The new year opens with many opportunities but also many challenges. Tan My continues its development journey with unity, aspiration for progress, and determination to act. Building on the foundation established in the first year after the merger, the Party Committee, government, and people of the entire commune expect to create further strong transformations, leading Tan My to develop faster and more sustainably, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people.
