According to meteorological experts, the Southern region and Ho Chi Minh City will experience little rain from morning to noon on May 5th. In the afternoon and evening, increased atmospheric disturbances combined with high temperatures may lead to thunderstorms in many areas of the South. The meteorological agency warns of the risk of strong thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
In the Central Highlands, the weather will be partly cloudy with sunshine. Scattered thunderstorms will occur in the afternoon and evening, more concentrated in the southern part of the region.
The South Central region, especially the coastal areas, should be prepared for scattered thunderstorms that tend to move inland from the sea on May 5th.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue experienced little rain. In Northern Vietnam and Hanoi , due to the influence of the Northeast monsoon, the weather on the morning of May 5th was cool, with some areas feeling chilly. By noon and afternoon, the weather was sunny, similar to early autumn. Meteorological experts predict this weather pattern will continue until May 6th. After that, due to the impact of the Northeast monsoon compressing the low-pressure trough, thunderstorms are likely to return to this area.
The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting also predicts that around May 8th and 9th, another cold front will affect the North, causing thunderstorms, with the risk of tornadoes, hailstorms, and strong gusts of wind.
