Improve product quality
In 2025, the city's industry and trade sector will organize numerous acceptance and handover sessions of machinery and equipment to production facilities under the local industrial promotion program and the development of tourism souvenir production. Through this, small businesses, household businesses, and cooperatives will benefit from investing in machinery and equipment, innovating technology, improving quality, and increasing the competitiveness of their products.
For example, at Dana Elite Production, Trading and Service Co., Ltd., faced with increasing order pressure and stringent product purity requirements, the company decided to invest in a modern essential oil distillation system with a total cost of over 376 million VND. Of this amount, the city's industrial promotion program provided 188 million VND in support, helping the company alleviate its financial burden.
Ms. Trinh Thi Kim Tuyen, Director of Dana Elite Company, said that putting the new system into operation helps the business proactively secure raw materials and optimize added value per unit of product. “With the new distillation system, the company's processing capacity has reached 500-600 tons of agarwood chips per year.”

This amount of raw material yields approximately 4-5 liters of pure agarwood essential oil, generating a stable revenue stream of 1.4-1.7 billion VND. More importantly, we thoroughly implement a circular economy model by utilizing all by-products after distillation to produce incense and souvenirs, creating a significant additional revenue of 4-5 billion VND per year. This is a major step forward that gives the business confidence to expand its market share,” Ms. Tuyen shared.
Similarly, in Thanh Khe ward, Hoang Phong Dana Co., Ltd. is also one of the units that effectively benefited from the industrial promotion fund. Focusing on developing a line of distinctive tourist souvenir products made from melaleuca essential oil, this enterprise boldly invested in a system of three advanced machines: a mini automatic 6-nozzle filling machine, an air compressor, and a freeze-drying machine. The total investment cost was over 538 million VND, of which the city budget contributed 252 million VND.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, the company's director, this timely support has motivated the business to standardize its production process. The immediate effect is visible, with filling productivity skyrocketing 4-5 times compared to before, reaching a capacity of 10,000-15,000 products per day. This helps Hoang Phong Dana handle large orders well during peak tourist seasons without worrying about supply shortages. "This is a crucial factor for us to maintain a closed production line, meeting the stringent standards when introducing products to demanding international markets," Ms. Lien said.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, investing in machinery and equipment is a way for the city government to support the development of businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, business households, and cooperatives, in order to modernize machinery and equipment, increase competitiveness, and expand production scale.
Prioritize brand promotion and development.
If technology is the "body" that creates a good product, then branding is the "soul" that gives a product a firm foothold in the market for businesses. Recognizing this, the Department of Industry and Trade stated that, in the period 2026-2030, Da Nang will focus on promoting and developing brands for Vietnamese-made consumer goods and services produced by businesses in the city.

Accordingly, the city has identified four key areas for priority brand development, including: food and beverage products, processed foods, agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, and processed products derived from these products; medicinal herbs and products derived from medicinal herbs; handicrafts and souvenirs; products related to culture, tourism, and traditional craft villages; and key export products. These are all areas where Da Nang has strengths and significant potential for development.
To realize this goal, the city focuses on building and updating the database of Da Nang products; promoting communication through mass media and digital platforms; organizing promotional activities and product introductions at trade fairs, exhibitions, and trade promotion events both domestically and internationally; connecting supply and demand, facilitating trade; and integrating Da Nang product display spaces into major cultural, sports, and tourism events of the city.
Simultaneously, the city focuses on supporting businesses to enhance their competitiveness through brand building consulting, packaging and design improvements; training in management, marketing, quality standards, and international certifications; and support for businesses to participate in domestic and cross-border e-commerce platforms, gradually expanding export markets.

With synchronized solutions, the implementation of promoting and introducing Da Nang products is expected to create a significant impetus to help the city's businesses improve their market access, expand distribution channels, and gradually affirm the brand and position of Da Nang products in domestic and international markets.
According to Mr. Dinh Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center (Department of Industry and Trade), surveys show that Da Nang products are of high quality and favored by consumers. However, compared to many other localities, the product designs are still limited, and the ability to promote products remains modest.
"In the coming period, we will continue to support production facilities in standardizing product designs and packaging, as well as in marketing and promoting products, contributing to accompanying businesses in conquering domestic and export markets," Mr. Phuc said.
