For the 2026 World Cup, the Portuguese national team will be given access to the best training center in the United States, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The stadiums are equipped with modern LED lighting systems for nighttime training and competition. The area is relatively quiet, easy to control security, and also close to major airports and upscale hotels. However, an unexpected incident occurred on the morning of June 15th (local time).
According to A Bola , Palm Beach (Miami, USA) unexpectedly became the focal point of a situation involving logistics and security, forcing the Portuguese team to adjust their schedule.

Around 10 a.m., the first members of the Portuguese national team appeared behind the team's resort in Florida to enjoy some time relaxing on the private beach.
However, the large crowds of locals and curious tourists prompted security forces to raise their alert level. Striker João Félix and Pedro Neto were among the first players to step onto the private beach area, heading towards the sunshades.
"The appearance of the two athletes quickly attracted the attention of the already crowded beach on the weekend, forcing security personnel and communications officers to intervene."
Concerned about the close proximity between players and fans, and the inability to ensure absolute security in the open beach area, the security team advised the players to return to the hotel. The players complied with the request and temporarily left the beach," A Bola reported.

Shortly afterwards, João Félix and Pedro Neto returned to the beach, this time joined by Rúben Dias, Samu Costa, Bernardo Silva, João Cancelo, and several other members of the team. Despite warnings from authorities, the group of players went swimming.
According to the original plan, the coaching staff even intended to hold a light workout on the sand to activate physical fitness in the ideal setting of Palm Beach. However, due to security warnings and excessive attention from outside, this activity was ultimately moved to the hotel's pool area.

Head coach Roberto Martínez also went down to the beach to monitor the situation, while the majority of the squad continued with their planned activities inside the resort.
Previously, several videos circulated on social media showing superstar Ronaldo wearing sunglasses and leisurely strolling on the sand with his teammates.
Carlos Belo, a Portuguese man living in the Palm Beach area, woke up at 8 a.m. hoping to get autographs or photos with the players, but ultimately had to contend with strict security regulations.
The fan also said he saw Ronaldo, but the Portuguese captain appeared briefly before quickly returning to the resort. Despite his disappointment, Carlos Belo said he understood the importance of the tournament and the players' need for rest.
